Extremely Disappointing Service & Rude Staff

I recently visited Barbeque Nation at Nexus Mall, Amritsar, and it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had. While I had high expectations, the service and staff behavior completely ruined the experience.

From the moment we arrived, the staff seemed disinterested and unwelcoming. Despite multiple reminders, our table was not set properly, and the service was painfully slow. The waiters were inattentive and seemed more occupied with other tasks rather than serving the guests.

The worst part was the rude attitude of the staff. Instead of addressing our concerns politely, they responded with arrogance and indifference. It felt as if they were doing us a favor by serving food. Even simple requests, like bringing fresh skewers, were met with unnecessary delays and reluctance.

To top it all off, the overall cleanliness of the place was subpar. Plates were not cleared on time, and the buffet section was unorganized. This was far from the warm and inviting experience one would expect from Barbeque Nation.

I would not recommend this outlet to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience. There are far better options in Amritsar where hospitality and customer service are...

Visited Barbeque Nation with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing from the very beginning. All the meats and fish served to our table were raw, not just undercooked. The texture was slimy and visibly uncooked, especially the fish, which was clearly unsafe to eat. Every single item we were served had to be sent back to the kitchen to be cooked again — completely ruining our appetite before the meal even began.

When we raised this with the manager (jaikishan), instead of acknowledging the issue, he denied the food was raw and claimed the slimy red texture was just the “natural colour of the meat.” This response was dismissive and concerning, especially when serving undercooked meat that poses health risks.

On top of that, the food itself lacked depth — basic and bland flavours, with little to no seasoning. The whole experience felt like a major letdown, both in terms of food quality and customer service.
