Visited yesterday and ordered 2 Vada pav and chai...after waiting for 10 minutes, one of the staff tried to give old and cold vada pav to me while fresh Vada pavs were also being made. I asked them why? And demanded for fresh food. After standing there for another 5-7 minutes, I got the vada pav, but my tea got cold while waiting. Without complaining I went to eat the food. After taking a few bites, I felt like a piece of ice came into my mouth. So I opened the second vada pav, and found that the vada was under cooked.. they were frying frozen vadas directly, and even after taking 15-20 minutes wait time, they served frozen and under cooked food. I took out a large frozen chunk from the middle of the vada and showed it to a staff member. I raised it to the manager, who apologised and said he will prepare it himself this time. I told him that it's a health Hazzard and they should check the vada with a tooth pick to be sure that it's cooked before serving it to the customer.
While I was making this complaint, someone cleared up my table, threw away my cold tea. Which was also replaced by the manager, but I had to wait another 10 minutes, as the tea guy placed a new large batch of tea.
Overall, my experience there was worst than a third class restaurant. Just because they can't even follow basic instructions from the manufacturer, and there was no coordination between the staff. The manager did offer me a refund. But refund is not why people come there, people come there for good food, service and hygiene standards.
I hope I don't fall sick after eating frozen raw food.. as I am not sure how long has it been stored.. and how many bacteria would have been living in that uncooked frozen vada.
Punjab has no standard at all, I am extremely disappointed with haldiram. I have been to haldiram accross India, and never have I ever been disappointed at so...
Read moreWe happened to visit Haldiram at V R Punjab today but the overall experience was quite HORRIBLE as the service was extremely poor. Staff shortage, water shortage, dough shortage. We had to wait for at least an hour for the food. Then undoubtedly there is self service but here SELF SERVICE means you have to clear the table also on your own so that u can sit. In case u opt to hav north indian food for a family of 4, then 3 family members will have to have their bread without plate having it in your hand- another tragic. And icing on the cake after we ordered 5 breads, and we wanted more, waiter said that dough is finished and that too before 9pm. Then they had to knead the dough. Our 2nd order was in continuation of the previous order. However they were taking fresh orders for the breads and were serving also. When we made them realised this thing, the staff said that we will be given dal makhani complementary. To hell with the complementary dal makhani After spending approx 3000 on that so called Dinner at Horrible Haldiram where there is no cutlery, no plates, no service, no proper ration, we left the place marking it a BIG NO for the next time. Haldiram is a brand but quality audit is required at each and every step. Overall system there needs a complete overhauling from the...
Read moreExtremely bad experience. Went there with high hopes and returned totally disappointed. Food taste is not as it's overhyped and quantity is less too. Ordered Channa Bhatura and Special Natratra Thali and got 2 small Bhaturas and that too was not completely cooked. Special Navratra Thali is advertised as something else in their menu and what u will get after payment will not match with the menu. What servers and managers will try to explain is that there's a misprint in the menu which no one cared to inform me while taking money. As per menu it was advertised u will get 3 paneer dishes and gulab jamun and peanut cutlet. What they tell u later is that there's only one paneer dish will get added in the order. They do not have Gulab Jamun and Peanut Cutlet with them even though they clearly mentioned those in menu. And to add to their disgrace, they don't have glasses to serve water. Water is also available on Self Service but there are no glasses available. They will give you disposable katoris to drink water. Imagine a restaurant with name Haldirams and charging so much money for their name but people eating there have to drink water in katoris. Well Done Haldirams. Hope someone from the management will read this review and take some action. If they don't, avoid...
