For all the South Indian food lovers out there, I have some exciting news to share. A new restaurant @littleidli.india has opened in the 3b2 market that offers a wide range of delicious dishes.
I recently visited this new restaurant located at 3b2 Mohali, and I must say that the ambiance is very soothing and peaceful, making it an ideal place to enjoy a meal. They offer a variety of dishes, including idli, vada, dosa, uttapam, upma, Kesaria baath, and Filter Coffee.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner @mankaran_sandhu, who lived in Bangalore for ten years and has brought the authentic flavors of South India from Hyderabad to the restaurant.
I tried their Ghee Masala Dosa, and it was amazing. The taste was pure, and the dosa was crispy, with no papdi-like layer inside. The podi masala and Ghee enhanced the flavor, and the soft cushion texture was the second-best part. I would highly recommend this dish to anyone visiting the restaurant.
The best part is that they serve two types of sambar: one is the Karnataka style, which is a little sweet and has gurh (Jaggery) added to it, and the other is the Tamil style, which is found in every South Indian restaurant. Both of them were amazing.
Another one of my favorite dishes was the Bangalore Special Ghee Podi Idli: The idlis were perfectly cooked and had a spongy texture, which made them incredibly light and fluffy. The spongy texture of the idli perfectly absorbs the ghee and podi, making each bite a heavenly experience
For those planning to visit the restaurant, I recommend trying Ghee Masala Dosa, Bangalore Special Podi Idli, Vada, Kesari Baath, and Filter Coffee. All the dishes are made with desi ghee, and the staff is polite and friendly.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy authentic South Indian cuisine in Chandigarh. I am sure that once you visit, you will want to become a regular customer.
Finally, I would like to inform you that they are opening their gates on 19th March, which is this Sunday and offering a 50% discount on the...
Read moreOn 27/03/2023, I visit here with my friends because we all were craving South Indian food, also this is a newly opened place in 3b2, Mohali. The name of this restaurant is Little Idli must say the name is very catchy, but the interior is not so catchy it’s basic. When I enter here I can smell the fragrance of pure South Indian spices, and also the smell of delicious food. I am a little bit disappointed with the staff just because we all were sitting and no one is there to entertain us even though we call them twice to take the order, but they were busy at that time. After 15 minutes they come and take the order and provide us with our food. Moreover, I am sharing some pictures of our food go through with it! We ordered Filter coffee, Cold coffee, Strawberry shake, Mix juice, little idli in sambar dip, Bangalore special ghee thatte idli, Double vada, Ghee podi onion uttapam, Ghee podi masala dosa and Ghee rava masala dosa. Must say every single thing was giving us the wow factor. Idli was soo soft they just melt in the mouth. Vada was soo soft even old age person eat it very easily. Juice, cold coffee and filter coffee were perfect in taste. Lastly, both dosa and uttapam were very delicious and the best part is that they serve two types of sambar: one is the Karnataka style, which is a little sweet and has Jaggery added to it, and the other is the Tamil style, which is found in every South Indian restaurant. Both of them were amazing. And they need to work on their washroom it was soo smelly, not cleaned properly. And if someone is planning to visit here on weekends so one has to wait at least 25 minutes the sitting. I recommend this place to everyone!
