Horrible Experience at Amrutum Restaurant – Food Poisoning and Terrible Food

I have ordered from Zomato Amrutum Restaurant... it was a complete disaster. I ordered the chilly potato, expecting a flavorful dish, but it was absolutely dreadful—greasy, bland, and poorly cooked. The potatoes were soggy, and the spices tasted stale, making it one of the worst dishes I’ve ever had. To make matters worse, I suffered from food poisoning shortly after eating there. I experienced severe stomach pain and nausea for hours, which ruined my entire day. The lack of hygiene in the kitchen or improper food handling is clearly a serious issue here. The service was equally disappointing—staff were inattentive and dismissive when I raised concerns about the food quality. The restaurant’s ambiance was uninviting, with dirty tables and a cluttered dining area. This place is a health hazard and a waste of money. I strongly advise avoiding Amrutum Restaurant at all costs unless you want to risk your health...

If there was a minus scale I wouldn't have hesitated to give a negative 10 yes -10 stars for service. Asked if someone could please clean the table we wanted to sit at and the response..."we're short staffed." The attitude wasn't lost as we waited 10 minutes for someone to wipe the table as several of the "short-staff" walked past and or stood around talking to each other. Then this guy cleans just half the table and gives us a choice of 3 items when they have a vast menu and he'd presented a printed menu to the table next to us. So we walked out. I suggest you walk past this restaurant unless you like your food sprinkled with bad attitude and poor service.

Gave 3 stars for food because we'd gone the night before, spent Rs 700 for two of us and food wasn't bad. Really wanted to try out breakfast before writing a review...

Best so far AC family Restaurant in Puri. Loved the dish especially the soft Tawa roti & Mix veg. Both stomach & heart will be filled with tasty food & excellent service. All food items are at reasonable price except for Tea & Coffee of which price is bit higher but tasty. They also provide food items in well packed container to have during our journey for sightseeing and on Train. the taste & quality of Idli,sambhar, chutney & vada needs to be improved. Please make it south indian type, customers will follow.

There are also rooms at reasonable price, next time will book there for sure. The overall behaviour of the staff are very exceptional.
