Hotel Sonali Palace — Restaurant in Puri

I had been there at puri last week of March2024. First i board with my family at Hotel Sonali Palece it was situated beside Hotel Greenery and near puri hotel. I had Very very bad experience with this hotel. ● Rooms are good but with so many problems are there, like AC was not worked properly, later they manage somehow after one day passed..Room Service not good,. Bathroom was in very very bad situation with bad smell, stinking all the time. Water flew back in the room from the bathroom. Water flow in the rap is very out of force. ●● From the 2nd day morning there were no water supply in the hotel, because of pumping problems. But there were no any other options but for to wait for the Water. This is ridiculous. The Manager mr. SHANKAR were repeatedly telling lies to us that everything will be sorted out just right now, but believe me there is no water for next two days. The pump and boring system were fully out of service. And the manager Mr. SHANKAR were gone for his house very coolly. At 2nd day mid night I were bound to collect 5 full bucket of water from the lobby to the 2nd floor, because there were no any room service person available, but a only one handicapped person at that time.

●● I were decided to check out on 3rd day morning, when I was leave the hotel after completing all the formalities, and try discuss/ report these problems with the manager Mr. SHANKAR, He was behaved very very badly with us and specially with my wife. He threatened us, shoughting on us.

My family were not happy at all. I was in the Puri for 7 days, rest 5days you loos your business. I feel very very sorry for...

The location is just opposite the Bhaja Hari Manna restaurant. The Sonali Palace is the worst hotel I have stayed in so far. Most unprofessional management. The staff are good human beings but don't have basic knowledge of hospitality as they are not at all trained because of unprofessional management. The hotel is renovating though they have accepted bookings with full payment in advance. Actually they knew if they would allow us part payment then nobody would stay there. I even tried to shift my hotel, there was a shortage of rooms in a good hotel near the sea beach on the 17th and 18th of August. We were in a group and my room was Double Bed Premium AC ( Rs. 3024/night). I have captured all the facilities in my room and share the pictures and videos here for your reference. The room was dirty. Though we didn't complain about the AC, the technician came just when we entered the room. That means the AC was not working and they knew it. The toilet is horrible. New WC is there but the flush tank was not working as the water was continuously drained out. After being informed to the front desk there all in one staff came, saw and returned without solutions. Once we requested a waste bin, they have provided but they never came back for cleaning. Room cleaning was not done. The bedsheet is torn, brownish spots in the bed cover, pillows are older and dirty. Not a water bottle or water arrangements in the room. Just see the videos and photos. Don't go by the edit photos they have. My review can be better if the management stopped taking bookings during renovation. I am not recommending this...

Worst hotel ever seen. Our guests have complained that there is inadequate and totally inefficient room service staff ..found all the other boarders of other rooms begging for their water , towel, room cleaning, hot water, TV not working etc ...bedsheets are not changed day after day ..they say bedsheets are inadequate in stock, lift do not work always, boarders including patients get stuckup frequently and are forced to use staircases , food remainings with empty dishes are seen dumped in corridors for days smelling very badly and not removed...the 3rd floor is further horrible ...they have broken tables and chairs to sit, there are no intercom facilities and they give mobile number to ask for the service and such numbers are engaged all time.. the staff behave rudely especially the ladies staff to speak of a few in numbers....the food served is of general standards ....there are cracks everywhere in the building ...the water is salted unlike other hotels, the rooms smell alchololic and stale food odour very badly ...and the hard drinks bottles are found littering in the 3rd floor roof ...the staircase railing have sharp nails and screws which is hurting the boarders...this gives all a message to think thrice before booking their accommodation in this hotel as it's quality is deteriorating daily and becoming from worser to worst in servicr ...compared to the room rate being very high ...our guest found that all boarders are shouting at the reception office staff at the time of...
