A great Indian styled hangout spot. Beautiful spot, great view especially in the evening and night. Nice place to hang out with friends. There is a small park in this place, we had a great time there as it provided a slight distance from the crowd while still enjoying the great surrounding. We actually enjoyed here the most. Good choice of food available here with no guarantee of quality, as mostly the case with Indian street food. No non-vegetarian food option on offer.
Coffee is famous. ( not sure why, there is nothing great or remotely special about it)
The road to this place is a one way so sort your approach to the place if you want to park your car where you stop. We somehow approached from the side of the aquarium so had to walk quite a bit before we reached the part of the street with shops.
Plastic is banned in this location so packed food is not available.
Few turn-off the lake is actually very dirty. Despite a busy location and, being a one way drivers drive vehicles like a race track. The barricade beside the lake is not effective. It’s too wide to protect any children from accidentally falling into the lake.
It is strange that none of the local authorities have taken notice. This one thing makes this place absolutely child unfriendly. If you have kids of age who run around then this place is not for you. The local toy sellers (basically Kid’s who sell toys and balloons etc.) are unavoidable, they would test your patience constantly with their pushy sales chants. A little cleanliness could have done wonders...
Read moreI recently visited Bombay Market in Udaipur and I have to say, it was an exciting and delicious experience. The market was bustling with activity and full of vendors selling a wide variety of Indian street food and snacks. They had a great selection of Italian, Desi Chinese and other local delicacies.
The standouts for me were the Cold Coffee and Pizza, both were prepared fresh and had great flavors. The prices were also reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food.
The vendors were friendly and accommodating with their customers, they were able to assist me in finding the food I wanted to try. The market also had a great atmosphere, it was lively and vibrant, with a lot of locals and visitors.
In terms of cleanliness, the market was not so well-maintained and I doubt about the food preparation is in hygienic conditions or not.
Overall, I highly recommend Bombay Food Market for anyone looking for a great street food experience in Udaipur. The market offers a wide variety of Indian street food with the view of Fateh Sagar. It's definitely a must-visit spot for people...
