A Good Experience Turned into a Bad One
Visited the restaurant with my wife and daughter on 09 Nov 21. Ordered Indian Food , good quality and taste , good service by waiter(Special Compliments to him for his service), all good till now. Daughter took a Real Juice box MRP 20 Rs. Bill came , all charges were fine except the JUICE which was charged at the name Choice of Juice at 100 RS( Whopping 400 % Service Charges ) . When asked the waiter and manager they said it is how it is and manager even went on to say that 20 Rs ka agar 20 me hi bechenge to hum kya kamayenge. When I asked them to write it on the bill that they are charging me 100 Rs for the juice box with MRP 20 RS , they refused to do so. I demanded to spk with the owner but by that time some sense prevailed and waiter came saying that I need not pay for Juice which I disagreed with and paid 50 Rs for juice which I felt was still justified and bal 50 as tip to our waiter. The roller coster ride.finished on a comparatively okay note still I lost the eagerness to refer the restaurant to others once I moved out of the premises which was not the case till the bill was not...
Read moreWorst non-veg food, high on pocket-bad food quality, don't trust reviews blindly as these can be paid reviews. I travelled to bikaner in may 2018 and went to gallops for dinner with my family where i ordered chicken kadhai which is a common non veg food item. Some unexpected but genuine results to share: Taste was not even in close resemblance to any other chicken kadhai i ate before in india or overseas. Just chicken and very high chillies with some onions, in general. I complained, but staff told me that it cannot be cancelled as it is already tasted(can somebody in this world tell some food good or not without tasting it!!!) Veg food items ordered were ok but NOT value for money.
I would rather suggest that go for food somewhere else and may try harasar haveli in - house restaurant, which i found better in taste and value for money( but chapati are costly...
Read moreGallops is my one of favourite restaurant in Bikaner to spend some quality time with friends and family. 15 years ago, when I first visited this place found worth visiting. Since then this restaurant is not changed much, cozy sofas replaced by standard solid wood dining table chair..outside open air bamboo muddha is as it is..October to Februaryduring tourist season place is remain occupied by foreigntourists..white gravy pasta, freshly roasted beans coffee and masala tea is my personal favourite, rest of menu is as usual like any other premium restaurant..masala tea is priced at 100rs per cup and one cup coffee comes with 175rs price tag..rest you may imagine..but tea pot is having ample of tea, you may fill 4 cups even...so I'm always happy to be here..5 stars for staff's polite and well mannered behaviour.
