Didn't try other options but the thaali (₹240 per person) was worth every penny. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was fast and responsive. Everything is refillable including the sweets. It's a must visit if you want to get a good vegetarian food with a touch of traditional culture in it. server was very helpful in selecting options and was very attentive. We had ordered 2 starters and a Dal Bhati I believe is what it was called. The interior space is large and somewhat gloomy. Could use some sprucing up but the food was worth it. If you want a real India experience in a very local atmosphere - this is it. It's not for those looking for a western restaurant or anything fancy. Just great Thali and local feel, eat with your hands and enjoy the great taste. Absolutely a unique and fun experience. If you are vegetarian and look for reasonably priced food (unlimited) in a touristy place like Udaipur, this is the perfect place for you. The food taste yum! The entire Thali costs Rs. 240 oy and you get as much good as you want. However, in comparison to other similar places overall, there were less options in the dishes, specifically desserts. They also have washroom and restroom which was nice. I can't describe the experience of this place. I think it's one of the best place to have food in udaipur. On first day we went to Restaurant floor, Restaurant food was Good like a normal restaurant but the most incredible experience was having thaali. We Experienced the thali on second day. Trust me It was amazing. Food quality was awesome. Service was just great. Managers of there taking care of us like their relative. Must visit Place.

Tasty Dal Baati Churma & Great Service – A Must-Visit Spot in Udaipur! We had dinner at Natraj Dining Hall during our Udaipur trip, and though the famous thali section on the 1st floor was too crowded, we chose to dine at their 2nd floor à la carte restaurant — and we’re so glad we did! ✅ Authentic Taste: We ordered their dal baati churma, and it was absolutely delicious — served hot, flavorful, and prepared just right! The churma was fresh and perfectly balanced with the dal and ghee-soaked baati. ✅ Ambience: The 2nd floor was calmer and more peaceful, ideal for families or anyone who wants to avoid the rush. The space was clean, comfortable, and service was fast. ✅ Service: The staff were polite and attentive, ensuring everything was served well. Even though we didn’t go for the unlimited thali, the à la carte experience still felt complete. ✅ Crowd Note: The thali dining hall on the 1st floor is very popular and usually quite busy, especially during lunch and dinner hours. So, if you're in a hurry or with kids, the 2nd floor is a great alternative without compromising on food quality. ✅ Family Friendly: We visited with our child and the team was very supportive and accommodating. A great place for families. 🎯 Verdict: Whether you try the famous thali or dine upstairs, Natraj Dining Hall is a must-visit for authentic Rajasthani flavors in Udaipur. The dal baati churma was the highlight of our meal! 5/5 🌟 – Tasty food, helpful staff, and great experience overall.

While it's widely recommended as "the place" for a Rajasthani thali, I found it to be a classic case of an establishment that has become a victim of its own hype. The moment you step in, the sheer number of people is overwhelming. It's not a cozy dining experience; it's a frantic rush. The dining hall is incredibly over-crowded, and you're constantly bumping into people. The atmosphere is less of a restaurant and more of a bustling train station during peak hours. The "fast service" that many praise felt less like efficiency and more like a hurried attempt to clear tables for the next wave of customers waiting in line. And the food? The unlimited thali, which is the main draw, was frankly underwhelming. The flavors were average at best, a far cry from the authentic and rich Rajasthani cuisine I've had elsewhere. The dishes tasted generic, lacking the distinct spices and textures you'd expect. The food seemed to be churned out in massive quantities with little attention to quality or taste. It felt like a meal designed for mass consumption, not for a memorable culinary experience. Ultimately, Natraj Dining Hall feels overhyped. The promise of a great, authentic thali is overshadowed by the chaos and the mediocre food. If you're looking for a peaceful and genuinely delicious meal, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. This place might be popular and a landmark, but it's a prime example of a restaurant that has prioritized quantity over quality and left a disappointing impression.

Natraj Restaurant in Udaipur is a well-known place for vegetarian food, especially for its unlimited thali. It is located near the city station and is easy to reach. The restaurant serves a mix of Rajasthani and Gujarati dishes and is popular among families and groups.

The food variety is good, with items like dal baati, kadhi, chapati, rice, sweets, and more. The thali is served quickly, and the staff keeps refilling without asking. Many people like the service and say it is fast and polite. The prices are also reasonable, usually around ₹250–₹300 for an unlimited meal.

However, the taste of the food is average. Some customers feel that the food is more like home-cooked meals and not very special. It may not be the best place if you're looking for strong Rajasthani flavors or unique dishes. The restaurant is also very crowded, especially during lunch and dinner hours, so you might have to wait for a table or sit in a packed hall.

The seating area is simple, and the place can get noisy. A few visitors have also mentioned that cleanliness can be improved. The food is served quickly, but at times, the attention to hygiene or detail is missing.

In short, Natraj Restaurant is a good option if you are looking for a filling, unlimited vegetarian meal at a low price. It's popular among locals and tourists who want a quick and budget-friendly thali. But if you are expecting great taste or a peaceful atmosphere, it might not meet your expectations. It's an okay place to try once, but not something you’d call a...
