South Indian Food Joints are in abundance in Udaipur. From small roadside Carts to Restaurants, one can find a price suitable place for everyone. The place we are about to review in this post is not a new place but was closed for almost 2 years & have been opened after revamping its name & just the name. Changing From Madras Coffee House to Aravindham Udaipur the place has kept everything same from its Menu to Staff to the taste & quality. They offer a range of South Indian food that is not being offered anywhere in the city. With the familiar dishes like idli, sambhar, dosa etc. they also have rasam, pongal & bhaths. We tried their South Indian Tiffin Koorma Poori Mysore Masala Dosa Filter Coffee South Indian Tiffin consisted of many dishes in small sizes like Mini Dosa, Idli, Vada, Pongal, Sweet Bhath, Chutneys & Sambhar. Everything was good in taste with Vada & Idli being the star. Then came Koorma Poori, in it there was a mixed Koorma veg, Aloo Palaya & Poori to go with it. The plate was filled with flavours, Poori's were fluffy & Aloo Palaya was buttery smooth, Koorma was also good. Then came Mysore Masala Dosa in which masala was asked seperately, the dosa was layered with spicy chutney & was crisp. Had a disappointing experience at this restaurant with my family. We ordered a variety of dishes, including an unlimited meal for one of us. However, things took a turn when the person with the unlimited meal wanted extra rice, but the waiter refused, claiming that she had shared her porota (which came with the meal) with someone else at the table. The real issue was the waiter's overzealous monitoring of our plates, constantly glancing over to see if we were sharing food from the unlimited meal. It was uncomfortable and awkward. Luckily, the manager intervened and understood our situation, eventually providing the extra rice we needed. The whole ordeal left a bad taste, and we were disappointed by the waiter's rigid adherence to rules and lack of customer understanding.

But Aravindham have the best sambhar and yes dosa to in town. If you are a new or a tourist and want to have best south indian cuisine then you must visit the restaurant you will the get best food and range of variety in south indian cuisine which is usually you will not find in any restaurants who serve south indian food. And the best part is the filter coffee which usually not find anywhere else rather than a typical south indian restaurants. But you will find the same filter coffee here. if you are a fan of filter coffee then you will get my point.
