We have visited Jaisalmer a few times on business. Saffron is at the top of the beautiful historic haveli Nancha in the main busy square of Jaisalmer. Like stepping into a fairytale! Just entering the haveli is an experience, you have to discover the ancient stairway up to the rooftop. We have enjoyed tables outside on their terrace and under the tented restaurant. In the evening, we returned for a generous vegetarian thali dish, not printed on the menu. It was delicious. The many biting mosquitoes diminished the experience, but staff quickly took effective measures.
Saffron serves excellent non-vegetarian and vegetarian food....

Unattentive staff who only speaks broken and unclean English. Making uncomfortable noise when serving and clearing the plates. Never said thank you at the end of our meal. You paid premium for high end restaurant when you end up in a local touristy Indian restaurant with cheap service, unhygiene food and...
