Monarch Restaurant — Restaurant in Siliguri

I feel sorry to have stayed at this lodge. The self-claimed "monarch" could not make at par with my expectations. The receptionist was not welcoming and spoke as if he were to do me courtesy free of cost. The room service was too lethargic and was lazy enough to have left the bed sheets to be changed by the boarders. The room too was very hot and to make our conditions bad the room was not air-conditioned. Their hospitality is too disappointing and makes one repent over the decision one has made by checking in this lodge. No arrangements for drinking water was made, though they had a jug but remained empty during my duration of stay there. The bedsheets had stains of God-knows-what and I guess it must have been impaled with a sharp object. Was my journey not tiering enough that i had to bring all my luggages inside as it remained unattended? Yes, I had to climb to the top floor with my luggages slouching behind me. Worst hotel in town. Firstly they serve food and water in dirty dishes. Secondly a huge bone piece was in our dal we ordered. Like seriously, and then when we complained to the manager he was like just smiling rather than doing the needful. Will never suggest it to anyone. Being a vegetarian myself, the disgust I felt is unimaginable. He even charged for the dal which we had returned after finding...

Sometimes they deliver sometimes they don't! When they do then the food is absolutely fantastic! Consistency is not their forte. Also the servers are too loud and mannerless! When guests are present and eating they lounge around and make noise. But it's value for money. We have been visiting this place since the early 90s. But they have failed to keep up...
