Pros: Sinclairs, Siliguri is one of the oldest higher end property of Siliguri. It is centrally located with good accessibility to all parts of the city as well as adjoining hill stations. The property covers a huge sprawling area which is usually missing in new age hotels. Less no of keys meaning the property is never crowded. Calm and quiet ambience with a in general relaxed vibe inspite of being centrally located. Good room sizes with all standard amenities and comfortable beds. Most of the staff are serving the property from a very long time and take good care of the guest and strive to provide a homely/friendly atmosphere. Catered to all special request that I made owing to the fact that I was travelling with a 2 yr old kid. Complimentary water (RO/UV treated) provided in refillable glass bottles instead of usual plastic ones which is commendable and so much environment friendly. Cons: In room dining/restaurant closes too early at 10.30 pm meaning you have to make alternate arrangements if you arrive late or have some late night hunger pangs. At least, some limited all day dining menu is expected till 12 AM if not 24x7 for this category of property. Swimming pool closes too early at 6 PM. Buffet Breakfast served is below par for this category of hotel and is repetitive. The hotel doesn't have its own fleet of vehicles and sources vehicular requirements of guests from third party agencies meaning that you can't get a vehicle at short notice should you require one. No security guards seen at main entrance which is somewhat surprising. The property is clearly showing its age and some renovation/modernisation (both indoor & outdoor) shall do it a world of good. Lot of areas outside the building are very dimly lit which give an 'eerie'...

We stayed here on 10th April 2025. The rooms, tiolets... everything very neat and clean! As located in busy area, too much of noises, especially felt more and more loud after coming down from mountains. Had a worst experience in the restaurant. Staff and chef needs to be good at listening. I faced allergic reactions. My whole day passed in suppressing allergic reactions. Though asked them to serve no spices and no chillis food, the chefs prepared regular dishes. Lot of miscommunication and carelessness in their attitude! So, those with #NickelAllergy #HeavyMetalsAllergy #CornAllergy #NutsAllergy #TreeNutsAllergy #BalsamOfPeruAllergy, please make sure every chef has understood your instructions! Here may be one chef doesn't pass on instructions to other chef, or the other chef doesn't follow the instructions given to him. They have Indianized Italian dishes. So, ask specifically for each and every ingredient. For next day morning breakfast, they tried to compensate for their careless and negligent behaviour by serving tossed vegetables in olive oil which actually requires no cooking skills and creativity. It seems the chefs were not ready to roll the ball in their court. The veggies were sprinkled heavily with black peppers. Don't know who eats such hot and spicy dishes! For those not suffering with any allergies, the restaurant is good. Afterall, it's a 3-star restaurant and don't expect...
Read moreOne of the best authentic Bengali food destinations in North Bengal situated at the heart of Siliguri Town at Panitanki More by the Sevok Road. While going to Gangtok or Kalimpong or returning from the same towards njp, one can have a stop here to enjoy the lunch which offers lip smacking original Bengali cuisines. The ambience is cool and cosy and help you feel at home. This is a pice hotel, so one can have separate non veg items like chittal fish, jumbo prawn, Hilsa, Rohi, Katla, Boroli etc. Thalli systems are also available. We have tasted small katol thali where fish size was really impressive. You can have the larger version as well. The side veg items are also extremely delicious though a bit more oily. I liked the potol curry recipe with sorshe posto. The katla fish recipe was too good which was made with raisins and cashews. The fishes are collected from Farakka, Teesta and Bihar which are very fresh and that's why tasty. The misty doi is also very famous and is from Gangarampur. The food is served in very less lead time and on bronze plates which adds to its authenticity in Bengali cuisines. The staff members' behaviours were also good...
