First of all, I didn’t take these pictures for posting this review so please bare with me.
So, let me first talk about the good things. The owner is super humble. Always welcomes you with warmth and will help you by going out of his way to customise things according to you, even if it doesn’t exist on the menu. I can’t appreciate this enough! The staffs are really sweet and welcoming. They will never make you feel like they are tired of you (which trust me many does). The aesthetics of the cafe does justice to its name. It’s so pleasing to sit in the warm lights and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee in between such beautiful pieces of art. The price point is perfect. I won’t call it pocket friendly but everything is modestly priced. You can consider having a cup of coffee and something to munch on under 200, if it’s a pocket friendly deal for you then definitely you can visit!
Now, let’s talk about the not-so-good things. The food quality is below average. There is no consistency. One day you might visit and eat something great and next day when you order it again expecting the same deliciousness, you’ll be highly disappointed. (And I’m not saying it by visiting this place once, I almost visited this place everyday, because other places sucks even more and I don’t get customised food anywhere else.)
Now, let’s talk about the added photographs and how each one tasted! Cappuccino: It was an average cup of coffee. Seeing the price point, I think, I have been to places which serves better coffees. Roasted Pork Chilly: My go-to order when I am at The Art O Adda, because, one, it’s something they don’t mess up much, and two, the quantity and taste is up to the mark according to the pricing. I would’ve vouched for this dish if they were consistent with their quality and taste, because once it was served cold and another time it just had fat pieces, and zero meat. Pork Platter: It tasted a little better than average but there’s a catch, YOU CANNOT EAT IT ALONE or even two person! The meat after a certain point makes you feel bloated and pukish. Margherita Pizza: I am against this pizza. I don’t recommend you ever ordering it at all. Trust me, if you’re craving a pizza, just go somewhere else. This pizza is greasy, the bread is moist, not enough cheese and most importantly it doesn’t taste that great! Beijing Chilli Mountain: A BIG NO! Just don’t order it. Extremely oily, has a weird taste to it, the mountain (the crunchy base) is so sweet that it instantly makes you feel bloated. It has a lot veggies like brinjal (it’s definitely a mom’s recipe to make their child eat veggies they hate). In short, ITS A NO from my side. Chick Stir Fry: Honestly, when I ordered I expected a proper stir fry chicken and not fritters. Either they have given me the wrong thing or they should just change the name. Anyway, as far as the taste is concerned, it’s a little bland but it has a good chunk of chicken inside and...
Read moreIf you're an art lover or love to see the artistic ambience with great food , you should definitely try this cafe. One of the best "adda" zone in Siliguri . They've extremely well defined menu where one can find lots of options to try . The interior is definitely out of the box . They've both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements and expanding soon .
Owner suggested to taste Chicken Ala Kiev , which is a Russian dish and it's truly flavorful in taste . The dish is a complete dinner for one and snack for two. We also tried the fish & chips which is a complete whole meal too. The fish was juicy and with all the veggies, it turned out to be delicious. It is a pocket friendly cafe without any doubt.
We ordered the masala tea but it wasn't that good , so when we informed this to both the owners , they promptly changed the tea and served us a wonderful Darjeeling tea and didn't even charge for any of those teas.I must say I've never seen this kind of hospitality in any cafe till date. Truly recommending...
Read moreHi guys, I went to this place to spend sometimes with my mom. Food is good here but service is unprofessional and very slow. There is no separate place for smokers and it is making things difficult for the non smokers. They should accommodate smokers and non smokers at different areas or else they should make it an open Cafe where air can play. We all are paying there to eat, so why this kinda forcer? Or you can tell clearly that the Cafe is for smokers only . I remember one lady was serving coffee on that day. She was so unprofessional that didn't take the order properly and served what we order to a different table. When those customers told her that it is not their order, she simply took that from that table and placed at our table. Which was so unprofessional and...
