Once again today visited around 520 pm waiters did not care one said have to wait for table to open while 75% tables said no service … no manager one staff said at this time manager takes a break in the AC hall and the waiting staff do not care about customers walking … the waiters do not treat customers as paying customers even in places where they serve free food service is better ..: I had visited this branch in Nov 2022 when it was opened . The service was excellent. Ever since we had been regular customers. However past 6 months service has gone downhill . There is no shortage of waiting staff but service is aweful . Yesterday 4 of us went for dinner close to 7pm … no one came to the table to even offer water. Many of them were standing with no work . We were thirsty so we called the waiter who was close and asked for water … he did not move he loosed for another waiter who was waiting in the next table and told him to serve us water. The service cannot go lower than this … then finally after 15 minutes they took the order . Order of one dosa ghee roast, two chola battura and one chapatti… they bought out one chola battura … then 7 minutes later another then the dosa and chappati never appeared . All three of us ate with the person who ordered chappati watching us. 15 minutes later we had to remind about the order and we were told to be patient as shift has changed … this had been ongoing issue with this branch . We had taken up this issue with the manager two times nothing has changed . Again we spoke to manager Imrsn he told he will investigate and not to post review. This is the same thing other two managers had told in the past . Nothing has changed and it keeps going downhill . Despite the poor service patrons might walk in as there are no good vegetarian restaurants around . Also the quality of Curd vadai has gone down and also the size . Hopefully some one will take...
Read moreOne of the worst experience of food we had. I am working as Assist Prof in Amrita and thought to explore nearby reatuarants. Therefore, we went to Anapoorna and the following events happened:
Day-1: We went to Annapoorna hotel at 9:45 pm and asked ragi dosa (he said no), pongal (he said no), poori (he said kurma is finished). The waiter suggested as we arrived at clossing time so most of dishes were closed. So we thought it's our mistake and finally ordered Idly and small idly with sambar. The sambar is so cold and we asked the waiter the sambar needs to be served hot and they replied its closing time. Then we asked then you need to close the restuarant and should not entertain to take orders. They replied the restuarant is open till 11:00 pm. We thought the offer of cold sambar and almost no items is only for customers who come between 9:30 pm to 10:30 pm and next time we will visit early.
Day-2: This day we went to Anapoorna at 8:30 pm which is considered to be peak dinner time. Again no Ragi Dosa, and no paneer Dosa. I order Idly and uttapam. The sambar with Idly this time was hot and really good. But, the sambar they gave for uttapam is not hot and we asked again, he replied that he forgot to heat it and replaced with hot sambar.
Day-3: This time we went morning 9:50 am and no Ragi Dosa, no wada, no pongal. After asking why they said all dishes finished by 9:30 am. I asked the waiter that in menu it is showing it is available till 10:00 am.
They replied it is finished we can't do anything. Again disappointed.
After that we went to A2B happily had hot pongal with wada and finally...
Read moreOn 24/12/2024, during our journey, we stopped at Annapoorna Hotel(Kuniyamuthur,Coimbatore to palakkad) for lunch. After washing our hands and sitting down, it took 10-15 minutes for someone to come and take our order. The person who took the order seemed indifferent and mentioned that many items we asked for would take time to be served. Finally, we settled for regular rice and curry, two mini meals, and one set of porottas.
During the meal, when the curries ran out, and later when the rice was finished, we tried asking for refills, but it took a long time to get anyone’s attention. After much searching, a service person came and casually said they would bring it, but the food arrived only after we had nearly finished our meal.
Meanwhile, the staff seemed more interested in talking among themselves rather than attending to customers. Even when approached, they seemed indifferent to our concerns. When we asked why the service was so poor, the waiters seemed annoyed.
We then asked to speak to the manager to address the issue of customer service. However, one of the waiters dismissed the idea, saying, “I will handle everything; there’s no need to call anyone.” This response reflected poorly on their attitude.
We are not eating there for free; we visit restaurants to enjoy food to our liking. Such behavior from the staff can tarnish the reputation of the establishment and create unpleasant experiences for diners. We felt compelled to share this experience, as staying silent might lead to others facing the...
