Aasife Biriyani - Ooty — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I recently visited this restaurant for lunch because they claim to serve the “world’s best biriyani.” Let me tell you, that’s a complete lie! It was the worst biriyani I’ve ever had. They charge ₹280 for chicken biriyani and ₹370 for mutton biriyani, but it’s nowhere close to being worth the money.

The sides were a joke. The raita was just onions—no curd, no flavor. The brinjal gravy was cold and tasted terrible. And the worst part? This branch doesn’t even serve bread halwa, which is supposed to be a signature item in this franchise. When I asked, they said they don’t have permission to serve it. What kind of nonsense is that? You charge so much money but can’t give something as basic as bread halwa? It honestly feels like they’re just robbing people.

The service was horrible too. We had to ask multiple times just to get the biriyani served. Even after requesting hot water, it never came, not even by the time we finished eating. We complained to the captain, but nothing was done.

We paid ₹1,500 for four biriyanis and felt completely cheated. This place is a rip-off. If you’re in Ooty, avoid this place at all costs. There are much better places nearby like HBH or Yummies, where you’ll get tasty food and...

We had our breakfast at what I would describe as one of the best restaurants in the world. From the moment we arrived, we were given a warm and genuine welcome by the staff, which immediately set a positive tone for our experience.
