Yummy Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Found Yummy Restaurant on my long, scenic, winding drive from Bengaluru to Coonoor.

It was a rainy day and we had started early, so were understandably very very hungry by afternoon.

Yummy lives upto its name. The food is really good. They have a good variety of cuisines and menu options, both veg and non-veg.

The restaurant is spacious, clean, hygenic. Washrooms are well maintained. Staff is professional, courteous and fluent in multiple languages.

Food arrives on time. And it's good! As an example, the 'Naarth' Indian bread options like naan, kulcha, chapati are... well, much more authentic than what I've had cityside. And that was pleasantly surprising.

To top it off, we were a contingent of 11-12 people, all placing different orders. Everything was good and tasty. And the bill came upto 6k or so. Which I think was a steal, and left me a very happy and satisfied customer.

The place was stinking during the rains. The prices are high for the location and considering most restaurants in ooty serve delicious food at much more reasonable rates, this one serves food that contradicts the name! One of the plate was not washed properly and we had to point out to get it changed. They don't serve you the food voluntarily and some of the ingredients were right out of the freezer. Beware, they sneak in mineral water charges without your knowledge even if you haven't used it.

I found this restaurant a little bit attractive looking from outside. Tried grilled chicken, which was freshly prepared and tasted good. Being a Biriyani lover, could not find myself satisfied with the biriyani which was served here ( neither look wise nor taste wise), not bad though. Felt that nonveg items are more preferred if someone visits the restaurant, mostly chicken items.

A few points which I didn't like.

I asked for a mineral water bottle (1 lit), which was not available. The way biriyani was served on table, was not really convenient and descent. Hygiene is a bit compromised which is my...
