Favourite family Restaurnt which is liked very much by the children also. Our group rocked in and enjoyed the delicious foods ordered by us: Ghee Pongal, Masala Vadai, Dahi Kachori, Bread Chenna, Pav Bhaji, Adai Avial, Coconut Poli. Lst but not the least Rasa Malai and Bansanthi . The only problem any one will face is the crows and the time you hve to spend after ordering but they serve very HOT. A2B comes alive with its tawas and kadhais roasting, deep frying, cooking. Welcoming each guest with a personalized handshake, a little person dressed up in a clown costume does his job with deep commitment. Decor wise, it does not inspire awe, nor does it have elements that wow. Bright white lights, trolleys carrying used dishes and clean tables are good enough. The whole space is air conditioned, making it comfortable enough in Chennai’s scheme of things. They have the self service area and the area where you get to look in a menu, order and get served. Both work equally well, but I like my food to come to me, so opt to sit, order, eat, pay, and leave, instead of standing in a line to pay, order and then carry my food to my table to eat. My craving for the evening was Mysore Masala Dosa and yes, their French Fries are phenomenally good. The wonder that is the Mysore Masala Dosa, came in all its glory and I began digging in without a second thought to all the ghee that went into giving the dosa its gloss. Just to check out if their chaat held promise, I ordered Paani Poori and was not disappointed. Selling quicker than they can be made are the traditional Tamilian snacks like Kozhukattai and Boli. Both are available in sweet and savoury varieties. And let me tell you, the sweets sell faster than the salty ones do. It has all the usual South Indian food and advertises ‘specials’ every evening. Now, the sweets and snacks section is called Adyar Ananda Bhavan. Counters are always packed with people and loaded trays offering varities of sweets and savouries from different parts of the country. High shelves are loaded with goodies like murrukus, chips, pickles, chutneys and podis.Must Try:Dosas, especially the Ghee Roast (eat it hot) the Boli, and Kozhukattai. Bung in a few hot Jelabis.Pluses and minuses:It’s always crowded, which means the food is fresh, but the decor is...
