Hotel Anandha Bhavan — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

My previous rating was 5-star but Derating to 3-star only after a long and a year observation...

Its a nice and top-3 veg option in the city, highly recommended place. but nowadays the service quality is very poor and lot of untrained staffs are there. The way they serve food are unhappy sometimes when you put extra money equal to Some branded outlets. I think the Hotel management must adopt better standards for the service staffs now, how to serve the food using the TONGS instead of gloves that used everywhere. Too much waiting for some tables randomly due to unorganised or poor supervison of the staffs. Even though its only during busiest time, I derate it because many customers are unhappy while visiting during busy hours.

Now the good part: its affordable price hotel, very good in taste, very good in quality of the food and all other things. More than suffiicient staffs are there, eventhough little lag in trainings.

Plenty of street parking is available along with hotel's own parking lot.

Due to excellent accessiblity, this is the most busy hotel in the city and also busiest hotel than their own anandha bavan near to bus stand..

I derate it but not stopped to visit the place, because these are common issues everywhere and no other alternate / better options and highlighted for their improvement. Highly recommended place, if little bit...

One of the busiest hotel in Cuddalore always patronized by huge inflow of guests from morning to night speaks volume about the quality of food and the taste. They have AC and Non AC hall however AC hall is always full. Need to wait for 15 min to get a place. The service is good however one can clearly see that they are not able to manage the crowd due to over crowding. At times the services may get delayed which is understandable. We visited for Lunch and also for Dinner We ordered Special Veg Meal which consists of one chapati, Unlimited Rice, sambar, rasam, Mor kuzhambu, spicy Vatha Kuzhambu, 2 Veg Subzi, One Big Appalam, One PAYASAM, One Kesari, Ice cream, Beeda , Banana etc The taste of each item was simply outstanding leading to lingering on the mouth. Service was great even though bit late which is understandable. We visited for dinner and ordered chapati and Kurma along with Tasty Onion Pachadi and Chana side dish. This place used to be very good once and staffs used to be polite and friendly. But this time we ordered starters soup and then the main dishes 1.The main dishes came in first we had to wait for starters for 10 mins after the main dish arrived it became cold... Still nvm 2.The soup i ordered chettinad soup if i remember correctly, The worst kind of something I'd ever put into my mouth as food. We ordered mushrooms for starters but they bought us cauliflower 😒 duh. It was enough suffering for an evening so we asked for the bill. Earlier we thought of ordering noodles but after all this nah... But when the waiter asked us if we wanted noodles, we politely refused saying we were full but the guy mocked at us saying "oh can't u share a cup of noodles amongst yourself, is a cup more of food gonna fill you up" with a smirk and in #Tamil this really irritated. Food Orders are to be suggested, not threatened and smirked like this. I HAD A GOOD IMAGE OF THIS PLACE SINCE I WAS A KID BUT NOPE NEVER AGAIN AM I GONNA RUIN MY EVENING...
