Went for the evening office dinner, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing yet again. The behavior of the cashier and waiters was shockingly disrespectful — full of attitude and zero courtesy. It felt more like we were a burden than valued guests. This kind of treatment, especially towards paying customers, is unacceptable. Definitely not going back. Avoid if you expect basic respect and decent service.!!

As someone who lives nearby, I’ve visited this hotel many times for my food and beverage needs. Unfortunately, it feels like this is one of those places where you actually pay to get disrespected.
Being the only pure vegetarian restaurant in and around the Madipakkam area, the hotel seems to run on a monopoly — and that clearly shows in how poorly they treat their customers. There’s absolutely no sense of customer service or courtesy.
From my experience, you have to wait at least 15 minutes just to be acknowledged by a waiter. And when they finally show up, their attitude is far from welcoming — it’s as if we owe them something. There's no basic respect or attentiveness.
One of the major issues is the lack of staff. With just one or two waiters managing a full crowd, it’s no surprise that service is painfully slow and frustrating. Clearly, the management doesn't care enough to hire sufficient staff or train them to be polite.
The food might be okay, but no meal is worth this kind of treatment. Disappointing, especially from a place that could’ve done so much better being the only veg option...
Read moreSorry to say this but your customer service is very poor. I was waiting with my daughter for almost 10 mts to buy some sweets and snacks in this branch, but no one attended us. Finally i got fed up and placed all the snacks on the counter which i picked and walked away without purchacing anything. You can even check the cctv on 16 may 2025 evening around 1630 to 1715 to verify my claims. There were no other customers at that time. Staff of this branch dosent care at all. With this kind of attitude of the staffs i think adyar anand bhavan will lose all its cutomers soon. This is not the first time happening like this to me. Please teach your employees to respect customers time. Finally i bought some sweets in a nearby sweet stall and was happy. Just opening lot of branches will not lead your business to success. Each and every customer matters. Maybe the owner is eager to expand the business. But with this kind of attitude of the employees i dont thinks buiseness will do good. We as a family with a toddler went on to have dinner as we were super hungry. Waited for over 10 minutes sitting on the table near the juice counter. I raised my hand several times trying to get the attention of the waiting staff. To my surprise none made an eye contact nor a response. Went to the til counter and called for manager. Mr. Sekar arrived and I told him the scenario he said they will attend us. He didn’t even bother to apologise nor talk to us as I said we are leaving as we didn’t get the right respect as a consumer. Not bothered we left.
Note: there were many waiting staffs just chitchatting near the til counter.
If this is how you treat your customers then it’s high time you shut the outlet and do some other business. If you are in the food service industry then you should know how to SERVE. I’m totally disappointed with the attitude of the staffs as they look like what’s for me if you go away, we are extremely established brand now and we don’t mind loosing a costumer.
