It's a best place for all the people's around Madipakkam and Keelkatalai. Now they have put the fences around the lake. Recently they started maintaining the lake. The lake view road contains lot of shops for food, Vegetables and snacks. We have spring roll shop and the soup shop will be awesome. Happy to see that it creates the lot of entrepreneurs by starting the own business. One thing which I noticed is there are many youngsters celebrating birthdays one small advice is please celebrate it without spoiling the food and the place. ( I know some people are doing neatly without affecting the others but there are some people this is for them). Many old age persons are will be on sharp time for walking. During afternoon we can see the lot of food delivery people like swiggy, Zomato and marketing people's will sit under the tree and they will have their food and they will clean it after they eat. Happy that the tree is welcoming all kind of people. We can see the birds if the water is available. In the road we have amma food centre ( Govt) and restroom facilities ( Paid I think I am not sure about it). Nearby there are two temples one is lord Ayyappa temple and another one is Perumal temple. But still the people and the young boys are riding very fastly in that road they can avoid that. One patrol vehicle will be there usually but nowadays I haven't sawn that. Then previously we had one big garbage box will be there but now it's not there so the people started throwing it on the road while comparing with the previous time. Every residential area should have a...
Read moreCalm and tranquil at dawn, vibrant and lively at dusk, this lake offers a welcome respite from the daily grind. While it may not be a typical tourist destination, it's a local treasure waiting to be discovered. With an array of street-side food stalls to tantalize your taste buds and a scenic pathway encircling the lake, it's a serene getaway.
There's a small children's playground next to the water tank, though it can get crowded. The narrow walking path inside comfortably accommodates two people side by side. In the morning, vendors sell milk, curd, vegetables, and health drinks, while in the evening, you can grab quick bites.
The lake may have seen fuller days, with some areas now frequented by grazing cows and tiny islands dotting its center. A notice warns of its depth, but you might even spot someone taking a dip. For the little ones, there's a play area with swings and slides, along with a gym for those looking to exercise.
Overall, it's an excellent spot for a morning or evening walk. Surrounding shops make it convenient, and it's a popular place to hang out with friends, offering great views and a serene atmosphere.
Best for daily family walks, the 2.1 km circular path is well-paved, and you'll find fast food eateries along the lake road, though it can get a bit crowded on weekends.
While it may have changed slightly due to metro rail work and water pipeline projects, it's still a nice place to unwind in...

During morning you can find people selling milk, curd, vegetable, health drink, etc. During evening you can grab some quick bites.
Lake might have been full long time ago as you can see some cows grazing where the water level has dropped and some land seen. There are tiny islands in the middle of the lake. There's a notice reading that the lake is deep but I saw a man bathing in the lake.
Lake also has a play area for children with couple of swings and slides. It also has a gym for exercising.
Overall, it is a good lake for a walk in the morning...
