Ambur Star Briyani — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I went to Ambur Star Biryani and bought fried rice. The fried rice was really terrible and watery. On top of that, the egg smelled like it was spoiled. When I called them to complain, they just asked me to send a photo. I sent the photo, and then they said something like, ‘Oh, it just has a lot of pepper, you must have eaten it quickly.’

I even took it directly to their branch office, and they agreed it was indeed an issue with the egg. But they didn’t offer any solution or admit they did something wrong. They just kept making it difficult to get a refund or even a complimentary replacement. When I escalated it to their head office over the phone, there was no response from their side. They just talked to the branch manager and then hung up the phone.

Disappointing Online Order Experience!

I strongly advise against ordering online from this restaurant—you won’t get your money’s worth. They consistently provide insufficient portions. Just an hour before writing this review, I ordered Chicken Biryani & Hyderabad Chicken Gravy via Swiggy. The gravy had only two small pieces of chicken, while the rest was just watery liquid.

This isn’t the first time I’ve faced such an issue, but this was by far the worst experience. It seems like they take advantage of online orders, assuming customers won’t complain.
