Ammachi Veedu Restaurant brings the warm, homely flavors of Kerala to the table with both delicious vegetarian and non-vegetarian offerings. On the veg side, dishes like Appam with Kadala Curry, banana fritters (Pazhampori), and vegetable thalis are comforting, flavorful, and authentically South Indian. The appams are soft and fluffy, while the curries are rich and satisfying — perfect for a wholesome meal.
For non-vegetarian food lovers, Ammachi Veedu truly shines. Their Malabar Chicken Biryani is a standout — aromatic, well-spiced, and served with tender chicken. The Trivandrum-style Chicken Fry, Pepper Chicken, Beef Fry, and Prawn Varattiyathu are crowd favorites, known for their bold spices and home-style preparation. The Kizhi Parotta — parotta wrapped in banana leaf and served with chicken or beef curry — is a must-try for its unique flavor and presentation.
Overall, Ammachi Veedu is a great spot for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians who crave traditional Kerala cuisine served with heart. Whether you’re in for a light veg meal or a spicy meat feast, the food here is full of flavor...
