My favorite place in coimbatore airport. It's a ritual to have something from here when I fly. Smart menu and whatever they do is top notch. Thier ghee dosa and rava roast is tondi for . The south Indian filter coffee is best in the business. Probably you take this coffee as the standard to compare other filter coffee. Annapoorna has been in business for More than 50 years and it's a icon of coimbatore. Consistency in their quality and taste is the key. Their sambar is one of the best and they were the Probably first one to have a mechanized sambar factory .they make sambar and other batter centrally and supply to their hotels throughout coimbatore so they have similar taste throughout. When you are travelling here to coimbatore make sure you are have a meal here .don't miss the idli sambar and dosa. Their snacks are also very famous get their cashewnut pakoda which out of the world. Probably the only thing average is their vada . Annapoorna at Coimbatore was a revelation during my recent visit there. I was looking to find some authentic Tamil meals near the airport as I was to catch a flight. Annapoorna near the airport was truly a treat. I ordered the ghee roast paper Dosa and it was the best that I had anywhere yet. Served with spicy and authentic array of chutneys, dips and sambar, it was truly fabulous in taste. I had lunch in there air conditioned section and the service was prompt the staff polite and helpful. Felt so good having the paper Dosa I tried their masala dosa too and it turned out to be super tasty as well. For sweet dish I had their paneer Gulab jamoon a delicacy I have not seen anywhere and it was superb. Overall a discovery. Must also try their filter coffee, its amazing.
