One of the sweetest owners of a restaurant I have ever met 🥰

The restaurant runs by a family of 2 sweet brothers and their mother selling puchkas nearby.

I stumbled upon it out of curiosity to try some new place around Auroville. And oh boy I am glad I did.

I was greeted warmly by the host and the food is just excellnet. Everything is made super fresh and delicious.

To me its also so refreshing to eat and hangout in a place that feels so down-to-earth with its owners really living this restaurant, feels also good for me to support them because of this high connection.

After traveling for more than a week in and around Chennai/Pondicherry (auroville area), I had developed a strong urge to have north Indian authentic food and to my suprise, we accidently found this Punjabi dhaba just short of 300 meters (near Tanto Auroville) or 500 meters from Zostel auroville , Pondicherry.

I must share ,honestly ......dil se :) ....what an amazing finger licking food we had. Literally we swiped cleaned the entire plates 🍽 🙌 🤗 with chatkaare's maarte hue...😋

Let me put it simple and straight way- It was a typical super tasty home made food (we had daal fry, alu gobhi semi dry masala with 2 fulkas) that turned out to me as moms "comfortable" food for so many north Indian can easily...

It's on main road only connecting to serenity beach and near auroville Prices for are good but quality isn't good but good who expect home food and its just simple no spiciness at all Paneer bhurji is not more than like a tamoto and onion subji and not more than 20g paneer is there in Rs. 210 so will not recommend at all. There is no tadka in Dal tadka and quanity also not good but in that price can't expect more Butter phulka isn't good as very less butter is there. I will only recommend this restaurant if you want home made food and OK with less quality. Anyone can try rice and dal tadka as prices are OK at this price.
