On Ramzan day, i.e, on May 3rd Tuesday, for lunch, we went to Namma veedu in Katpadi Road. Went and waited outside the 1st floor dining hall. It was crowded and full.
Sadly, not even a single staff cared to say hello or politely asked us to just wait for a few minutes. They were just rude! That's such a bad attitude from the staff of a famous resturant chain. They must understand each customer is precious and must be treated well. Some one from the management must please give them training. We waited there for 15 minutes and then finnally I went and asked a female server if there is another dining hall upstairs. Then she said there is!
So we went to the 2nd floor and again the same story Followed. After 10 minutes of sitting in the table, one man came to take order. He simply asked us to scan the scanner for the menu and moved to the other two tables where customers came after us. He told them the list of menu and took orders. Meanwhile we struggled to get the scanner right, and being fed up called him again and asked him to tell us what they have. Then we asked for lunch and he said it's over. Then we ordered for chicken 65 biriyani and a water melon juice and lemon juice. He took the order and after 10 minutes he came back and said there is only one biriyani. By then, all together, an hour has passed. We were tired by all these proceedings and so asked him to cancel our order and came out.
I withdraw my recommendation for any one to go there, especially during crowded time. If you dont mind about their customer care, then you may visit.

Read moreBoth dine in n take away.
I bought chicken pepper masala gravy as take away in Anna Salai branch (near Muslim high school), there was too too much of oil in take away. Seems like we are buying poison/health issues by paying money to this restaurant. Is this rottu kadai salna shop to add this much oil in gravy items. I called the restaurant and asked, the restaurant supervisor had spoken, he said next time we will correct it. Is this the right response? I asked the supervisior to provide contact number of next level boss, he was not ready to give any ones contact number. Fair business, isn't?
If dine-in, It's difficult to identify oil in served items because of the lightings inside the restaurant. Yellow lightings through out the restaurant and also they serve the items immediately to the plates so you can't evaluate the oil in the gravy items served in dine in.
Also for dine in price of chicken pepper masala is Rs 246. For take away it's 270. Same quantity. They say for every item 6 percent hike if take away. It means for plastic container we are paying 24 rs.

Read moreI got this restaurant suggested by a person from Golden Gateway and thankfully I decided to heed his advice. Man-o-man, what a treat we were in for. The Mutton dishes were next level. I loved how these guys used grounded spices that are coarse, which deliver variable taste, I love it that way apparently. We were very very hungry when we approached the restaurant, so we were very happy with how Vinod, our bearer treated us with kindness and respect. He suggested the best dishes and we loved every dish they fed us. The Mutton Sukka was delicious. The Mutton Biriyani is kind of Ambur vibes but the Mutton pieces were very well served, minimal fat. The Prawns Ghee roast was good but small improvement is we didn't specify that we needed dry, it was semi, but still the taste was really nice. The Fresh lemon soda was too good. I believe Vinod gave us a complimentary Payasam which we enjoyed as well. Overall nice food and great hospitality. I recommend this esp to my telugu community who like spices coarse and...
