This was a pre-new year celebration. Small quaint little place on ECR. Very few tables…think jus four, so on weekends / holidays suggested to call and book in advance. If u want to try sea food across cuisines then this is just the right place. They have all the popular fish / sea food variety and cooked in the best cuisine option. We tried the Lobster (yeah that will be priced based on the size so do check with staff before ordering). That was also the most expensive item on our bill almost 3k but worth it when considering the quantity and taste. The staff will de-bone and serve if needed along with bread or you can be adventurous to try yourself. The Calamari (Love the dip that comes with it…mostly the spicy marinara) was good too, surprisingly it wasn’t chewy like most other places. Try the sol kadhi for those not acquainted with Maharashtrian food, it will be a lovely treat, blue pea flower lemonade a little too sweet and aerated, can be avoided. Anchovy fry was also good, goes perfectly with the Prawn Pulao. The 2 best things I tried was the Kai Special Prawn Pulao & Blondie dessert…must try. The Pulao is a great mix of spices with delicate prawns and generous taste of ghee. Blondie a very understated and visually less appealing dessert but taste mind boggling. We also tried the Tiramisu but Blondie beats it hands down. A perfect balance of sugar & salt, crisp almonds & soft caramel. Overall loved the prompt and efficient service & great cooking. 😋 Only would have wished for the sea to be next door but after eating so much across the road was also too...

For 1 person
I am an experimental person hence went ahead with suggestion,
The butter prawn reminds one of the Bengaluru sambar rice , the masala and ghee was pretty raw and the prawns hard , either the chef made a mistake or the ingredients were wrong definitely won't suggest this to anyone and would request kai to remove this off their menu
Prawn laska with udon noodles had raw chilli paste mixed in warm water and had a lot of sea smell to it again i have had udon noodle, it's udance (lying in Madras lingo) noodle , it not thick nor soft just packet noodles had left the whole portion as it was
Kung pao chicken , the amount of soy used was wow . I will suggest this for take away , you get a litre of soy in it and for the price you can discard chicken and save the soy sauce for a year .
The ambience was okay, travel a short distance down you can have a better dinner at kaldan, or even for lesser price at any of the other sea food speciality hotels within the 1km radius .
Owner should take very strong cognisance of the lethargic chef and should advice the service executive to not push the highest costing but the best food the chef could make.
Over all bad experience for the night . Had to stop by a local shop to have a dessert to get the taste off .
Tried my best to get a good...

Little more consistency would be better. While rillettes were great, the bread was grilled to very different levels two times that we ordered.
The service is BAD. Our bruschetta came half way through our main course as their 'cold station was busier than the rest of their kitchen'. Half an hour into our meal we were being called by a guy standing in front of us, if we were coming as per our reservation! In a restaurant with just two large tables, it is not easy to lose track.
Worst part was that they had taken a 2pm reservation. The table next to ours has a 12 noon reservation and hadn't vacated till 2pm. Our reservation was at 12:30, we were 7 of us, had run a bill of 14K (means we had ordered and eaten a lot), and were paying when we were rushed to vacate at 2:10. Was it because it was easier to ask Indians to vacate, when we had started our meal half an our later? Or just because we were paying so it was logical to ask us to rush than those busy clicking pictures with their group (after all 'foreigners'?
This is a restaurant where a 3-course menu will cost 1.5-2K, in a cramped place. So they need to get their food and service...
