Review: Disappointing Repeated Experience at Little Arabia, Erode
My husband and I have visited Little Arabia in Erode twice, hoping the second experience would make up for the first â unfortunately, it didnât.
Both times, the tandoori dishes were a letdown. The meat was either undercooked or lacking in flavor, with barely any marination penetrating beyond the surface. During our second visit, even after clearly specifying our preferences for the Afghani Tandoori and requesting it to be well-cooked, what we received was extremely underwhelming. One piece had a hint of flavor on the surface, while the other tasted like plain boiled chicken â bland and completely unseasoned.
The Egyptian Shawarma was decent at best. While the meat was cooked better than the tandoori, the excessive oil left an unpleasant aftertaste that made the meal feel heavy and unsatisfying.
We also tried the Chicken Sizzler, which they mentioned was a new item. While it's understandable for a new dish to go through some trial and error, the execution still left much to be desired. The BBQ sauce was overly sweet and masked all other flavors, and the French fries, which were part of the dish, became soggy from the sauce and steam â not the kind of texture you expect from a sizzler.
Overall, despite the promising name and varied menu, the lack of attention to detail in cooking and flavor balance makes it hard to recommend Little Arabia. We truly hoped for a better experience, especially after giving it a second chance, but left disappointed both times.

Thereâs roofed seating and umbrella seating. We did choose the roofed seating for having the fan on a Thursday evening around 8pm. The fan was but blasting warm air. IPL was being live telecasted with Tamil commentary. The menu was already on the table and we did get attended in a few minutes after we started looking at the menu.
Ordered a tom yum soup, a Mexican plate shawarma and a paneer platter. The shawarma came first- no pictures cos we were too hungry. It didnât look out of the world, it was a bit too red and yes it was spicy. The soup did take some time to come in- the 1/2 cups were probably different cups as we got two full bowls (small). The soup wouldnât score authenticity points, but is tasty and spicy. The paneer platter with about 8pc of paneer took another 5 minutes more to come in.
The kuboos werenât fresh. For a shawarma joint, it shouldâve done better.
There was custom branded bottles for water. But the request for regular water was complied which is appreciated.
My score for poor service was due to a distasteful comment in the lines of body shaming that came towards the end as we were 3 and according to her didnât have enough quantity of food for dinner. Shouldâve schooled her, but we were just tired.
The bill was just under âš700 which isnât very economical.
Overall a decent place to sit and have some food and chill with friends and maybe watch live screened sports. If they could add dessert coolers or so, itâd be more...
