This is a really simple hut-like, traditional Gounder/Koundar style food serving eatery. The seating is basic tables and stool like seating, and food is served on banana leaves. Rice is the main staple, served with customary stir-fried/tossed vegetable and a chutney made from different prime ingredients each day, and typical South-Indian papad. A daal made from differing pulses, and a rustic sambar variant consumed with the rice set the main courses for vegetarians, with a small cup of curd/yoghurt to finish up. Non-vegetarian fare is what Gounder cuisine is known for, and the gravy accompaniments include Country chicken and mutton gravies, and a of bone/cartilage 'thin' gravy (can be drunk just like the famous Paya Soup). Red-chilli and garlic cooked Chicken Chintamani and Mutton Koththu are the picks from the speciality dishes.
