RK Residency — Hotel in Tamil Nadu

We wanted to stay a night for a wedding in Tiruppur and there were very few options that were 3* and above. We didn't require breakfast and this was the only hotel that gave us that choice.

Pros: Location is inside Tirupur close to city centre Bed was comfortable

Cons: Very old and ill-maintained interiors, decors and amenities (DONOT BE FOOLED BY PICS ON GOOGLE - OUTDATED!). Looks like the management built a good hotel in city centre 15years ago and never spent any money to renovate and maintain. We paid ~ ₹3500 per night without breakfast and it was worth probably ₹2500 MAX. You can get far better, new and well looked after properties for this price nearby! Rooms walls are thin and could hear nearby rooms & upstairs. Wifi was not working and have to complain and wait for 6 hrs, and then raise the issue again to get it resolved FINALLY! Room phone was NOT working so no access to room service unless you call number off the website and ask to be connected to kitchen every time you need something. They forgot to put complimentary water bottles and when we asked for it they said they have accidentally charged us for it in the system and cannot reverse. So we ended up paying for 2x bottles of water as well! Pathetic. Filter coffee we ordered was sub-par and we could get better coffee in Coimbatore road side shop! Glad we did not eat there.

May be good for party hall access/ business meetings as it is...

My stay at RK Residency was quite pleasant overall. I approached this hotel for booking in my recent visit. But for first two days it was fully occupied due to one private function. So I choose another hotel for 2 days and last 2 days I stayed in this hotel. It was recently renovated and still some work was going on. Staff was very good and helpful. Lift was under renovation so we took service lift inside the kitchen. Room was very nice and big. I checked inn late in the evening so not got double bed room. But nice decent room.
