My recent visit to Maruthi Restaurant in Kanyakumari was an absolute disgrace and an unforgettable example of poor service and blatant racism. My family and I, who were traveling with kids and seniors, were subjected to unprofessional and discriminatory treatment that left us shocked and humiliated.

We specifically requested a dish that we saw others being served, but the staff flat-out ignored our request. When we politely followed up, we were treated with sheer arrogance and condescension. It was clear that the staff were discriminating against us based on regional or racial bias, as others around us were served without issue.

What made the experience worse was the manager’s reaction—or rather, lack thereof. When we brought the incident to his attention, he neither took any action nor offered even the most basic courtesy of an apology. This is not just bad service; it’s a restaurant openly fostering discriminatory behavior.

Families and travelers, stay away from Maruthi Restaurant. If you value dignity, fair treatment, and good service, there are plenty of better options in Kanyakumari. This place clearly doesn’t deserve your business. Let your money and time go to establishments that treat all customers with respect.

hi people am here to share my experience of how cheap this restaurant work today i just bout my dinner of 20 idly and 10 naans and they knew tat we gonna leave by train so they just served us with 10 idlies and the worst ever naan which was 10 times harder than the normal one i have no idea wht these people gonna do with such kind of earnings and my family is with a great regret of ordering food here so people please check it whn u get ur parcel while leaving the town for people involved in such kind of act god will do the thing am leaving...

Went there for lunch. Had to get a token for meals, but no one was there to guide or seat us. After finally finding a table, I had to call someone to clean it. The server placed the banana leaf but didn’t start serving. I had to wait just for water and then again for the dishes.

Midway, all service stopped due to rice shortage, yet they kept issuing veg meal tokens. Had to wait long for both curd and rice.

The bill says “Thanks for your support for 35 years,” but the service says otherwise. Worst service...
