Nagerkovil Arya Bhavan — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

The first thing you observe is the number of sofas, not individual chairs in the large spacious dining hall. The crowds were just beginning to gather.

I walked into the A/C room alongside. When the waiter came, he narrated a whole range of dishes from mushroom fry to biryani.

But I was in the mood for a thali. I love that spread and the multiple tastes available on a single plate.

"In the A/C, only special meals, sir" I asked him to bring it on

When it arrived, the first thing I noticed was the enormous appalam covering virtually the whole plate. I asked for another plate to keep the appalam, which could have been crisper.

The range of dishes on the plate is impressive. They taste good, though not exceptional.

At Rs. 250 it's good value for money

And the service is efficient. The waiter bustles about, enquiring if you want a refill or buttermilk.

Loved the rasam and the tangy chutney like vatta kozambu.

There's ample parking. And when you're looking for a quick meal that satisfies, Arya Bhavan more than fits the bill. Though I'm not sure if the Nagerkovil is part of their ancestry or an attempt to stand out from an existing Arya...

I visit nearly 15days in a month to cheran nager branch. First everything was good but now a day the quality of food not good and day by day the service is worst. Three days before I ordered for chola poori which was very much oily (they directly place in plate without draining the oil) I have complained many times regarding this. But they have not changed. So same thing happened and as usually throw the poori in dustbin and changed it. The channa masala for the poori was high salty and complained and they changed it which was also salty. When asked no response and asking me to move without paying the bill. I sat there got the bill paid it (even without eating it) complained to manage which was of no use. Really after dinning for month and month there I was very much up set with the managers response. When I moved out they are commenting that I have come to eat free food by complaining. Even the waterboys know me how long I have been there. That day is my last day to Nagerkovil Arya Bhavan. Day by day it is becoming worst and my recommendation will be to avoid this...

Visited this place for lunch. Plenty of parking infront also sideyard of the building. There was a little bit wait because all tables are full. One can imagine how good the food must be for the tables to be full at 3pm during weekend.

Special mention to the architecture and design inside. Most likely it’s designed by Sadhguru as I did not find any beams for most part of the building inside that’s usually his style. The LED backed Rangoli interior roof is another example of his masterpiece. Also the linga bairavi so I am assuming it’s a concecrated space most likely but not sure.

Anyway food was amazing. We tried ghee roast , Hakka noodles, paneeer tikka, dosa, paneer roast , chapthi ghee roast and paneer tikka delicious. Can’t wait to try again.

Just few things other things I noticed, the place was very clean and had a clean waiting charis which is usually not available in other restaurants. Not even a single piece of paper or food was on the floor. Kudos to staff for providing us amazing...
