It's a very special restaurant. The taste and quality of the food is on the different level, which only a handful of restaurants serve and SAMCO tops that list 💯. It's an ideal choice of restaurant for a special occasion and worth the time and money spent here 👍. Had a memorable dine out at SAMCO on our special occasion. We started with Crispy fried Prawn which was really crispy and amazing 🤩, I highly recommend this as a starter if you want to make your dine out so special, trust me with this. The prawns are more like the size of tiger prawns🦐 and they served in five numbers. It's 500 bucks but the quality and taste of the dish justified the price. As well as we had Tandoori chicken which was so good even when we had it on the next day, which is quite incredible and a testament to their food quality. Chicken noodles 🍜 was yummy 😋 and the mutton biryani for main course was good to fill the hungry stomach 🙂 phulkas and egg masala were good too. The mini falooda for the dessert was of extremely mind-blowing taste and we all loved it and You must try this one to experience the taste that you have never experienced before. The service was prompt and courteous. The waiter took the order was very much helpful in choosing the dishes and explained the nature of the dishes well enough which made quite easier to finalize our menu , good job by this guy 👍 I feel amazed by the ambience, quality of the food served here. As I mentioned it's more suitable for a special occasion as the bill is also so special 😀 if you plan for a dine out with family. I wish that I am able to afford a dine out once in a month with my entire family. I can still cherish the memorable time at this restaurant. As I witnessed, they have ample tables available with various number of seating options and can easily accommodate a small family to a large group of friends or family. The restaurant is on the first floor and the lift service is available. Wash rooms were maintained clean. This restaurant tops my list of restaurants to have special dinner on a special occasion. It's a great iconic restaurant for Mogappair,...
Read moreBeing Sunday.. We were very clear to reach the restaurant before 1.00 pm and we did so.. Luckily got a comfortable place... We are 5... 2 vegetarians and 3 non vegetarians
Soup : Hot & Sour Veg Soup and Lung Fung Chicken Soup - very nice warming soups
Starters: Onion Rings - not great Fish Polluchadhu - fantastic.. Great Masala... Very small size... I had head piece and my son had tail piece.... So was really not about to enjoy... My daughter got lucky with the body piece and was relishing... Mutton Sheek Kebab: Wow... Very tasty
Main course : Romali Rotis... Very soft and melts in the mouth... Phulka : you don't even feel you're eating something... So soft
Mutton Mandi: Typical Mandi taste... Mutton was again melting ( don't expect Mandi to taste like Biriyani... For people who don't know... Mandi rice taste will be subtle and Mutton pieces will without any masala... Just boiled...) I liked it Mixed Veg curry and Mixed Veg Kurma - both were wow wow wow... Really really tasty... Kurma was creamier...
Finally... Deserts : Ice Cream with Carrot Halwa Ice Cream with Gulab Jamoon... Very authentic
They were polite enough in serving... Seniors were checking if the food is good and if we are comfortable... While we came out.... There were at least 100 people waiting outside... I am still wondering how they will all get place and what time these people will eat.. How will they enjoy the food... 🤔
Pricing : Honestly little expensive... Though we had no issues... Yes it is little...
Read moreI don't know how so many people gave some amazing reviews but I know restaurant can fake reviews here. I would like to give an honest feedback.
Food: Taste was OK but the quantity of food they gave for the amount they're charging is absolutely a waste of money. The biriyani was sweet and was not even made of basmati rice. The restaurant does not provide a fine dining experience for them to serve little and charge more. Not worth it.
Service: We were served cold food. The guy who served had no remorse. The drink that we ordered was forgotten and I had to remind them to get it. I changed one of my orders in just 1 minute from the time I placed the order and they were hesitant to make the change saying the kitchen would've already started. That was stupid to me because nobody can start cooking a Naan in one minute. And all the food that was served was like they were made before and was just given to us by heating up old food not to say for fact that it was not even hot, just old dry food.
Ambience: On first look the restaurant looks great. But we were asked to shift seats because water was leaking from the AC vent. The sofas were low and uncomfortable to sit. The sofa had so much stain in them. Even a normal hotel will have better seats.
Overall this is not a restaurant where you can hope to go and enjoy your experience as a family. You'll only be left with disappointment. If you want to spend more money for disappointment then you...
