Savoury Sea Shell Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I have been to Kottivakkam couple of times as the same being my project location for the last 6 months and will be traveling to Kottivakam for coming couple of months.

I would never recomend this place as i had the worst dining experiences around this area, my review is based on my experience and reasons supporting my review is mentioned below.

These are experiences one can expect at sea shell restaurant kottivakkam location:

A) Taste is ok I would give 5/10 . Never try items (according to my taste buts): chicken lollipop dry , prawns fried rice and mango pulp. Al farm is good.

B) waiting time to be expected : order time for let's say minimum 30 minutes for starters in grill and 30 mins for mint lime.

C) Behavior to me expected : before placing the order you will be treated with caring and post order you become a hindrance : on the 4th visit to sea shell we group of 3 ordered 1 half alfarm, 1 chicken lollipop which was delivered after 0.5 hour after that, for main course we ordered chicken fried rice , fish fried rice and prawns fried rice for which delivery time was 1 hr post starters due to which by that time we had started loosing appetite and desert ordered same time with maincourse was again delayed by 1 hr post delivery of maincouse so we had to cancel the order bcoz our lunch time is 1hr which can be extended to max 1.5 hr(we being a consultant for the project at kottivakkam )still we spent around 2.15 hrs.

With main course we had placed an order for 1 mint lime, falooda1 no and 1 mocktail which was delayed to such a unbearable time that we had to cancel the order post 1 hr from delivery of maincourse. After canceling the desert waiter started to behave in such a way that we felt insulted and we had to leave the place keeping in mind to never return to this outlet. Manager(mid 50s individual with malayali accent) expressed his apology for the issue we faced. We had expected a delay in delivery in previous visit but not to this extend.

D) Ambience: Good for 2 or more people. previously we had visited sea shell in a group of 5 to 7 people for lunch.

E) Cost : Bit Expensive.

F) Bill : for the above mentioned excluding dessert 1700 and above. Total in this 2 weeks 15k and above as we where in a group of 5 or 6.

G) Ideal for : Individuals having the luxury of waiting time of around 1.5 hrs for 1 mint lime or 1.5 hrs for al farm depending on the crowd.

H) Total time spent for items mentioned above in point 'C' : 2 hrs 15 mins.

I) Delivery is not in first come first out but priority is to larger group which is one of the worst practices in couple of restaurants in whole of india.

J) online delivery is available if you call directly to resturant.

K) Poor staffing : ratio is about 1 waiter for 3 Table.

We went for team dinner ordering their

1.Jumbo platters mainly they didn't mention in the menu card on platters varities so when it came we don't know all items are placed. So they to clearly mention items that area coming I the platters bcoz it costs 1500 to 4000.

2.platter chicken is hard escalated to supervisor he said pieces with bones having softer compared to boneless. I didn't accept bcoz other restaurants serving same quality on whole chicken.

3.They charging mint mojito for Rs.230 jusy for 350ml (lemon+mint syrup+soda) Very high price. If they using quality branded syrup then may be will consider this price of
