During my recent exploration for dining options, I discovered a notable eatery specializing in Hyderabad biryani and a variety of non-vegetarian dishes. The establishment is quite spacious and was bustling with patrons during the lunch hour, indicating its popularity. After a brief wait, we were seated and eager to sample the menu. We ordered the chicken biryani along with several crispy chicken appetizers. The service was commendable, enhancing our dining experience. Interestingly, two college students seated nearby ordered a similar meal—one biryani and a selection of dry chicken items. Initially, I assumed they were economizing by sharing a single biryani; however, when their order arrived, we were both surprised by the generous portion size, which could easily satisfy three individuals. Consequently, we requested the cancellation of one of our biryani orders. In terms of flavor, while the biryani did not meet our expectations compared to other Hyderabad offerings—particularly regarding the taste of the rice and overall quality—it was noteworthy for its substantial amount of chicken and the inclusion of a whole egg. Visited SS Biryani yesterday for lunch with my wife and kids after a few months. As usual, the place was crowded, but what shocked us was the decline in food quality.

We ordered Mutton Biryani, which is usually our favorite here, but this time it wasn’t up to the mark. Along with that, we ordered Half Grill Chicken and Half Alfaham. Alfaham: Completely burnt, extremely hard, and tasted more like Tandoori than Alfaham. Grill Chicken: The meat was so hard and clearly not fresh. When I raised this with the staff, they admitted the issue and promised to replace it. Shockingly, they just brought back the same pieces after scraping off the hardened outer layer—as if customers won’t notice.

We were already disappointed, so we didn’t argue further and just left after paying (including tips).

To make things worse, since yesterday, my entire family (including kids) has been suffering from stomach upset after eating here. We had to spend extra on medicines because of this.

For God’s sake, if you are charging premium prices, please ensure you serve fresh and good quality food. Customers deserve value for their money, not stale and...

One of the best non veg hotel in Coimbatore city . 10 mins walkable from city bus stand Gandhipuram . 1 chicken/ mutton biryani is enough for 2 people with sufficient pieces and awesome taste too . Good quantity and quality. Especially bucket biriyani is cheap and best . Other side dishes ( grill / tandoori )are very good and even kids can have , because medium spice. Who all are going for cbe crosscut road shopping , they can go with Kalyana viruinthu in 3rd floor . Unlimited Biriyani with ice-cream, sweet, chicken thandoori , beeda , coke & water bottle . Not much waiting time during weekdays , but weekend 15 to 20 mins waiting time . Car parking is tough on the street. So Please park it 100 meters away road side we have to park .
