Udipi Sri Durga Bhavan — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

🌶️ Visited this place and was very disappointed for the price they charge (110₹). 😑 The sambar was bland, like plain dal with no sambar masala flavor. The rasam was even worse—no pepper or tangy taste, almost like hot water with spices missing. 🫤 Only the curd (moru) and karakulambu were decent, but that didn’t make up for the rest of the experience.

Asked for a side dish, and the server just said, "Don’t have any sides!" 👎 The vegetable fried rice was ultra disappointing—nowhere close to an Udupi taste. 🍚 Definitely not worth it if you’re expecting good flavor or service. Also, the service was frustrating; the server seemed uninterested, and cleaning wasn’t done properly. I doubt they’re even washing the “one-time-use” steel glasses. 🤢

No sweet included for the price, either. 🍬 Overall, a very poor experience. Don't waste your time...

In my experience in the past the restaurant was good. Just a 4-5 years before this hotel was at the place where Jai Krishna Silks is currently present. At that time the meals would be 75 INR. For 75 INR,you will get Parupupodi and ghee or Dahl + Ghee, Sambar, Morkulambu or Karakulambu, Rasam, Thayir, Aviyal, Poriyal, Keerai Kootu, vegetable Kootu, Appalam, mormilagai,oorugai, one smallvadai, Sweet or payasam, all unlimited. If you eat, you will never have to eat dinner!! But now the meals Price is Rs.85 With, Sambar, Rasam, Kootu, thayir, appalam. Thats all! This hotel is so near the bus stand. So, they can keep the price as they wish. But one thing good is that they brought the price down from 18% Gst to 5% cost, while other hotels in poonamalle hiked the price for Gst, but never reduced the price When GST...

Such horrible restaurant it was. We ordered gobi Manchurian which was served very cold and the dish had nothing but lot of food color in it even after washing ur hands color stain was present. Meals were average only, potato sabzi was undercooked with masalas, sambhar had barely any vegetables. Ambience was very poor and they served with very much delay. Moreover on their entrance they had a table where they exhibited/displayed no. of dishes in bowl covered with polythene sheet which looked weird and strange for me. Environment and ventilation seemed bit unclean. And one customer next to our table was yelling and scolding a waiter for their poor...
