Nice place for real coffee & Tea lovers . If u go in the peak times may be you will not find space to sit . But u can serve your self standing. They also introduced samosas recently. It is nice and crispy. Tea it is 15 Rs . It is worth. U have option of white sugar and normal sugar as well. I really love this place. But only thing is parking. It is an issue. If u r driving car may be you have to park in smaller streets and walk a bit . Two wheelers if u are lucky u will get the space in front of the shop itself

Fast billing, fast service, standing and sitting tables, even snacks are available now. Snacks taste traditional. This is probably the place where strong coffee lovers should meet and greet. Have been visiting gthe place for years now. Coffee is really strong here with the choice of Traditional Country Jaggery ' Naattu Chakarai' also for the health conscious. Summed up really awesome coffee ! All those who visit Coimbatore, have a sip here !

Both tea and coffee are not provided at all the joints. Only some of them have space to accommodate a lot number of group.

Velan kaappi - can seat upto 25 people indoors as well as outdoors, located at a prime location in Saibaba colony (bang opp Shanti gears services - SSS). The place is small yet cozy. Serves kaappi (local name for Filter coffee) mixed with brown sugar (naatu sarkarai) or white sugar or even sugar-free tablets. The folks behind the counter ask your choice before preparing. Coffee is priced at 20/- They have also started serving milk tea. Their kaappi is served in copper dawara set (local version of cup & saucer) and the taste is really good. I haven't tried their teas yet, and as of Jan 2020, they have also started serving green teas.

The place is a recommended hangout spot for casual tea/coffee catch-up. The only disappointing factor is that they don't serve any snacks which is quite unusual for a hangout spot, but I guess they want to specialize in kaappi/tea which is their forte. Hopefully in the future, they would start exploring...

What to say about this? I didn't know that tea place with only two items: tea and coffee, can have such a good business (I am guessing). The reason is simplicity and quality that never wavers. The rich strong coffee is just the answer for fatigue and laziness and the tea is the answer for the weariness you feel all day. It's peace stirred in a cup. The place is impeccably clean and staff very friendly. It has a nice sitting area and the place offers self-service. If you are around looking for no nonsense tea or coffee, look no further.
