I've always cherished the taste of sugar cane juice at Dr Karumbu in Coimbatore. However, after moving to Chennai and trying street-side juices there, I noticed a significant change in Dr Karumbu's taste on my recent visit back. I initially dismissed it as being away for a while, but after trying it multiple times on different days, I couldn't shake off the feeling. Today, after purchasing a 1-liter parcel, I overheard a customer comment on the thin consistency of the juice, hinting at dilution. I couldn't help but agree.
