As someone who loves travelling for food , going all the way across to the other end of the city for good food is no big deal. And when you are treated with such courteous hospitality and a wide array of delectable delicacies , your visit is worth every bit of pain suffered in the horrendous traffic.
Dropped by this unassuming place at Karkhana for a food tasting session and left truly satisfied.
Starting with the ambiance, nothing fancy here , looks a bit old and could do with some maintenance. When we reached here at 2 pm, a couple of tables were filled, but in a matter of 30 minutes the place was full and even has a waiting list.
The tables are arranged in a neat manner with a candle and a flower shaped tables cloths . The candle was an exaggeration at day time but is a nice addition at dinner time.
Started off the session with a variety of mocktails and soft drinks from the menu , and some of the must try ones are listed below.
Masala chach - Spiced buttermilk served in a quirky dairy bottle was very good .
Ginger head - A non alcoholic beverage with a dash of ginger and soda water . This goes well to wash all the food down.
Fruit Punch - Perfectly made , not too sweet and a must order.
Also the best part of the drinks & mocktail menu , they are all priced under the Rs 100 barrier which is a great thing.
Coming to the starters and soups , and we were ambushed by the amount of food that was served on to the table.
I'll list down some of the very best, which according to me are worth a try here.
Thai Roasted Fish - Grilled fish ,wok tossed in an amazing Thai Sauce. Must try here.
Paneer Kairi Tikka - Smoked juicy paneer Tikka with a surprise in the centre. Sandwiched between the paneer pieces is a piece of mango slice /aam papad.
Murg Saffron kebab / talwar kebab - 2 different dishes which taste really good but I couldn't figure out the difference in taste. The talwar is served in a skewered stick and the other served on a plate.
Mutton Galaouti - Soft and succulent mutton kebab served ok top of bite sized roti. The best dish of the day . Don't forget to order this one . One complaint was the roti was too bad in comparison to the kebab.
Patthar ka Gosht - Soft pieces of lamb done in a traditional way of grilling on a hot rock . The lambs were cooked perfectly with the perfect amount of spices.
Mahi Pudina Fish - Juicy grilled fish , with the meat falling of the fork.
And many more ....
After being loaded with the starters , we proceeded cautiously to the main course with a strict instruction to cut down the portion size so that food isn't wasted .
The main course spread was not as vast as the starters but had some amazing dishes. Listing down some of the best according to me.
Murgh Methi - Creamy , Methi infused chicken gravy with boneless chicken pieces . Tastes real good.
Paneer Khurchan - Delicious paneer gravy , goes really well with Indian breads.
Dal Makhni - Butter delight, perfect amount of spices and butter make this a must order here.
Keema Biryani - The keema was very well made and the biryani rice was very flavorful.
After a sumptuous meal you need a dessert to help digest all this and we went for the new trend in the market, The cheesecakes ! Almost all the restaurants have now incorporated a cheesecake into their menu and our own humble gulab jamun/ falooda etc are suffering as a result. 😂 Jokes apart, the cheesecakes are the newest fad so thought of checking out them .
Caramel Cheesecake - Perfect amount of caramel sauce drizzled over the baked cheesecake which I felt was a tad sour. Although the caramel balanced it perfectly and it went very well.
Blueberry Cheeesecake- The tanginess of the blueberry compote added to the already tangy cheesecake and somehow it wasn't very good. It was good but I've had better elsewhere.
Overall, a really nice place to visit for some amazing food and courteous service.
Again it doesn't hurt to drive far if the food is this good.

The one thing that has bound us to a unique country is 'Culture of Food'. Blessed with variety of cuisines, United Kitchen Of India has did a great job to put together parts of the Indian cuisines under one kitchen. They have Cuisine from Hyderabad, Telangana, Andhra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Bengal, Punjab & Rajasthan. They also got Tangra (Chinese), which is a region in East Kolkata that is traditionally housed by people of Hakka Chinese origin. Moreover, they have continental food too for the modern generation.
Good thing is they don't compromise the quality and taste and sticks to the authenticity of the Cuisine. What I had here are the following:
🍹 Drinks:
✳️ Narangi Chaska Infused with Cranberry juice & Orange Juice. Refreshing drink you must have.
🍷Tea Toddler A sweet and floral taste infused with fruits like apple, green apple, guava, olive and orange.
🍸Holy Water A light and refreshing drink infused with basil leaves and basil seeds.
🍓Strawberry Slush This one's a heavy drink compare to the others I had. It was infusion of strawberries and cranberries. It was rich and creamy in texture.
✳️Litchi Surprise It's texture is kind of frozen ice-cream with strong taste of litchi. It melts fast so be sure to finish it on time or you may have messy table.
🍾Goli Soda Masala soda with good quality water is all you need after a heavy meal. If you're health conscious then don't be afraid because they use mineral water for the soda.
,🍢 Starters:
🍗Murgh Angaara Smoking hot skewed barbecue chicken served in a pot and seasoned with spice rub. It is very well marinade to tenderize the chicken and add flavor making layer crispy and chicken soft from Inside. This is a must have dish. Tastes even better with lime.
✳️Bhutteryan De Kebab Thick cheese covered by vermicellies and deep fried to make it golden & crispy. The very first bite hits you with blast of cheese.
🥔Peethiwali Tikki Smashed potatoes tikki with udat ki daal. Very soft in texture and melts in your mouth.
🐟Meen Polichathu Steamed fish with corriander chutney. It is wrapped around the banana leaves and when you open the leaves, you can still it vaporising. I'm not sure but the fish tasted like pomfret.
🦐Gunpowered Golden Fried Prawns Deep fried prawns in gram flour and garnished with lip-smacking chaat powder. The prawns were big in size and very crispy.
🍽️ Main Course
🍲 Subz Bahar A carnival of vegetables such as bell peppers, carrot & potatoes. Tangy and spicy in taste and good to eat with Butter naan.
🍗 Chicken Chittenadu A medium spicy south Indian curry. Chicken was tender and was marinated well with spices and coconut. Curry was thick and tangy.
🍖 Kosha Mangsho Thick mutton curry with nice red colour to the gravy. The curry tasted tangy with subtle sweetness of the spicy gravy. The meat was tender and succulent and absorbed all the spices perfectly.
🍞 Luchi & Assorted Breads Luchi is the maida version of Puri. It was amazing and cooked in less oil and it was super soft that you could eat it alone without any curry. On the other hand, Butter Naan & Kulcha both were soft and went very well with every curries.
✳️Sambar Rice Veg IT WAS THE BEST SAMBAR RICE OF MY LIFE 💯 It is highly recommended by me. Prepared with pure ghee and served with Dal Wada. The combination was amazing. Wada was hard & crunchy and tasted even better with sambar. Also you can ask the staff for some papad aur achar with it. A heavenly combination 😍
🍗 Palnadu Kodi Pulao It is a chicken pulao from region of Guntur, Andhra. It had soft rice with tender chicken. The aroma was pleasent and had mix level of spices.
🍖 Yaata Mamsum Pulao A classical Mutton Pulao from Telangana. They maintained the same quality of soft rice with tender meat.
🥞 Desserts I had here Gajar ka halwa & Qubani ka Meetha. Both of them were sweet &...
