The In-charge, Srikanth took my order for a chocolate truffle cake over the phone in the morning. After telling me that chocolate sponge wasn't ready, he immediately changed his words to say that it was available. When asked whether it was from the previous day, he replied in the affirmative. After insisting on fresh sponge, and agreeing to give enough time to have it prepared, I read out the birthday message - Happy Birthday dearest Divya - to be piped over the cake. I also mentioned that it was a gift for a member of our spiritual organisation whose birthday was going to be celebrated.
When the box of cake was opened at our Foundation, I was aghast to read the piped piped message - Happy Birthday Anitha (my name)! So not only was the name wrongly mentioned, but the word, 'dearest' was conveniently overlooked.
I called Srikanth and told him to immediately send his person with an icing cone to repair the damage to which he agreed. However after painstakingly explaining the directions, he said that he was new to the place and wasn't familiar with the locality, and put me on to someone else. I gave him the address and told him to use GPS instead of calling repeatedly as we were going to start meditation and hence were not to be disturbed.
I began to get desperate as by that time, we were supposed to assemble for cake cutting. Despite that, once again I began to give directions to the next person. In the meanwhile, I used the blunt edge of a knife and removed my name from the cake, in the hope of speeding things up.
Two people showed up to Repair the damage and in a very shaky scrawl, piped the name, Divya, and yet again without including the word, dearest.
Needless to say that I was at the end of my wits by then and accepted whatever was done.
This kind of carelessness is unacceptable and a shame for such an old, popular brand. It took away from the most delicious cake.
I hope that the management will take note of what is meant to be...
Read moreCafe & the bakery store is open till 9:45pm and not 8pm as mentioned on google. MUST TRY - 🍝 Spaghetti & Vegetariana Pizza 🍕 Fruit Biscuit, Cashew Cookies, Hazelnut Pastry. Quick service, really good quality and quantity of food is provided! Ambience is too good! Tried Spaghetti with Alfredo & Arabiatta - pink sauce, it was very delicious. Vegetariana pizza was awesome, thin Crust, apt amount of cheese and sauce & toppings. Went there for dinner & we were so impressed that we visited again for lunch the next day..tried Paneer Tikka sandwich..it was okay..it had too much of bread as compared to the stuffing, sauce and cheese for 225 also, we tried Raj kachori - it was average, it was overloaded with dahi and it didn't taste that good - being from Mumbai, we expect our chaat to be spicy tangy and chatpata, we asked them to put more chutney then it tasted okay..after eating pizza and pasta we had really high expecting from other items! They really need to work on improving sandwiches & chaat items. But overall it is a nice place with lot of quick bite options! Would love to visit again & try other dishes when I visit...
Read moreKarachi bakery is one among the famous identities for food that symbolises Hyderabad from decades. Osmania biscuits have been a staple snack along with Irani chai. Karachi bakery is known for its quality and unique taste. People grew up in Hyderabad would never forget the Osmania busciuts. Recently, Karachi bakery has modernised and opened many outlets across Hyderabad with modern and contemporary products along with their trademark buiscuits. This outlet is one such and has restaurant also. Drawback of this outlet is they dont have seating place for having quick bites like pasteies etc. Connoisseurs of Hydrabadi food love Karachi Bakery. I have friends who carry buiscuits from Karachi bakery to other cities on request from their friends and relatives, probably they dont find that taste and quality of their products in...
