Gaurav Sweets and Namkeen — Restaurant in Thane

I had a very disappointing experience with Gaurav Sweets, Kasarvadavali (Mahalaxmi Tower). I had placed an order for 50 snack boxes for a pooja at my home, specifically meant for children's evening snacks. The delivery was promised by 5:30 PM but arrived very late, despite multiple follow-ups. This delay caused major inconvenience during the event.

Even more concerning was the poor quality of the food. Items like Dhokla and Humsafar, in nearly half the boxes, were stale and not fit to eat. Later that evening, several parents were discussing the bad quality of the food, and it honestly felt quite embarrassing for us as hosts.

Sadly, the next morning, one child fell sick, and the parents confirmed that the only food he had eaten was from the snack box we provided.

Personally, I visited the shop the next day to raise my concerns but was met with rude and dismissive behavior from the shopkeeper. He simply claimed that Dhokla must be eaten within 2–3 hours. Something that was never mentioned at the time of placing the order, even though I had clearly informed them that the food was for small children and requested fresh, good-quality items.

This entire experience was not only unprofessional and irresponsible but also posed a serious health risk. I sincerely hope they take this issue seriously, improve their food safety standards, and train their staff to handle customer feedback more respectfully.

OMG, horrible experience for the first time, i came for some evening snacks and juice, took 1 samosa and 1 pineapple juice, found cockroach inside samosa and hair inside juice, don’t know, when complaint to manager he said he also don’t know may b during making their worker has not notice, i took my money back and decided never came again. Today I purchased Dry fruit vaati sweet from Gaurav Sweets and namkeen , it was for my guest. My younger cousin who is a small child ate one of the sweet from it and found a small bead which was difficult to chew. The bead would have choked the kid ,fortunate enough she told us about that and we checked whether it is edible or not. We contacted Gaurav Sweets to complaint about it.
