Portico bistro — Restaurant in Thane

Now when it comes about giving stars here, i wish there maybe more than 5 because what I've experienced here, this bistro doesn't deserve only 5 stars.

A place where you definitely will have a heavenly experience either it comes to food, ambience, the people, or the service they provide. Everything is just so picture perfect that you will definitly be looking for any flaws and you won't find one.

Portico defines a perfectly ambient, peaceful bistro that you are looking for whether you're going for a family dinner, or with your love or again with your school friends, thia place will definitly fulfill that feeling of being at a sophisticated place and enjoy some good food with a great atmosphere.

Now let's talk about the ambience first,

Chandelier hanging, vibrant lights, maple furniture, transparent glass walls and some very well interior will definitly catch your attention in the first place.

That feeling of being at sophisticated, standard place will definitly blow your mind. And you will feel start feeling being at some dreamy place you ever wanted to be at.

What we have been served from the start included,

🍹Cucumber Jalepeno Martini 🍹 A perfect blend of jalepeno and cucumber will take you to your dieting days actually. But did tasted kind of jaljeera like but healthy.

🍹Fresh Basil Mojito 🍹 A traditional healthy basil mojito that will turn your hot mood icy cool 😎.

Going to the starters,

🍣Peruvian Pesto Paneer 🍣 One of the best variety of the vegetarian starter i ever had. Deeply fried paneer covered with green Peruvian sauce and served in an well organised manner. Paneer was also well shaped and even when you put a fork to get that bite, it still staya one piece. Loved the foos decor and taste. 5/5

🍘New Orlean Baby Potato 🍘 Being a non vegetarian but also an admirer of vegetarian varieties, I've always applauded the vegetarian varieties but never ever thought that a potato will also be this much delicious and mouth watering. Half cut potatoes tossed inside their sauce, what i felt like maybe a blend of tomatoes mixed with schezwan sauce. But well cooked, crispy potatoes 🥔. Take a bite with the chutney and heavenly feeling will take over your mind.5/5

🌮Columbian Chicken Nachos 🌮 Nachos topped with chicken kheema and a hell lot of cheese. Definitely this ones the delicious, crispy variety of nachos that we had. 5/5

🍛Shish Touque🍛 A more like pahadi chicken looks, properly roasted chicken served with mint chutney. More of a lovely dish for the non vegans. 5/5

🌯Crispy Sriracha Mini Spring Rolls 🌯 A traditional concept mini spring rolls, served with tomato sauce which is in house made. The sauce or chutney whatever it was but when you take a bite, just put some chutney inside the spring roll and go for it. ❣️5/5

🍛Chicken Lasagna 🍛 Two garlic breads accompanying the showstopper, Chicken Lasagna is actually a layer by layer combination of crushed chicken, cheese, pasta, again a layer of chicken, then cheese and at the end hot melted cheese. So hot that the dish was served with two plates as the upper one was so hot that it's actually too hot to touch. 5/5

🍱Grilled Cottage Cheese Steak 🍱 A perfect main course for a lunch. Rice bowl served wit boiled vegetables and paneer sabji. Just take the boiled vegetables, mix them with the rice, put some paneer and the gravy and take a bite. Yummmmm 5/5.

🥠 Chocolate Biscuit Nut Cake 🥠 In house made chocolate cookie covered with chocolate and topped with dri fruits, served with chocolate sauce. A perfect end to the lunch❣️ 5/5

Visited Portico last weekend for Saturday Brunch , the outlet has started

Portico is located within Hiranandani club house in Hiranandani estate , Thane West Which is one of the posh locality in Thane

The interior decor was electrifying and eye catching With soothing pool side view right next to the restaurant and left side of the walls their were paintings and Chandler's at the ceiling

Portico specializes in continental , mexican , amd italian cuisine.

One of the best place one can have such unique and innovative dishes . The resturant was cosy with indoor low and high seatings . The staff were well trained and efficient.

STRAWBERRY COLADA fresh strawberry and pineapple well blended with coconut milk and pineapplejuice , it was soothing in taste

BLACK BERRY CAIPIROSHKA Blackberries Well muddled blended well with , lime mint , black currant juice refreshing in every sip of the mocktail

BUNUELOS COLUMBIANOS are Columbian cheese balls , they are overloaded with mozzarella n feta cheese , served with yellow pepper mayo , tasted well

GRILLED CHICKEN , SPINACH N MOZZARELLA PARCELS

Chunks of chicken , layered with sauteed spinach , topped with mozzarella cheese n toasted red bell peppers , surely a healthier option to opt for.

COLUMBIAN CHICKEN NACHOS (Most recommended )

Nachos are beet root Flavoured vibrant in appearance drench with minced chicken , t topped and well garnished with with cheddar, mozzarella , parmesan cheese , cheese sauce , guacamole , sour cream , onion , cherry tomato ,and jalapeno served with tomato salsa

SEARED FISH WITH MANGO / PINEAPPLE SALSA ‎ Pan seared rawas steak , marinated well with white wine , Dijon mustard , lemon juice , honey , black pepper , served along with either mango or pineapple salsa

SPICY SAMBAL CHICKEN chunks of tenderly chicken tossed along with veggies in spicy sambal sauce , If you love spicy food you gonna love this dish

CHEESE CHICKEN CEOQUETTES

Shallow fried minced chicken rolls, mixed wrll with sambal , green onion, over stuffed with mozzarella cheese, served with spicy sambal mayo ‎ Mains

‎Grilled chicken breast tossed romesco sauce which is a Spanish sauce made of red pepper, almonds, tomato , smoked paprika, garlic , olive oil, black pepper served along with parsley rice and sauteed veggies

Visited this place last Thursday night for a hangout. Relatively a new place but the atmosphere is great. It is actually a part of Hiranandani Club House, You can have a view of both the swimming pools from inside the restaurant. A very good place to visit specially if you stay in thane or around.

Amazing ambiance, Nice slow music, And the best part is the food. Here's what we had.

In starters we tried "Thai Cheese Balls", spicier one(Suggested as per our requirement). And it was perfect just what we hoped for to start with. This was served with even spicier mayo sauce which was definitely a highlight for me.

Then we moved on to "Kutab", Looked like a stuffed aloo paratha but an American version(Can say), Lots of cheese and other stuffing, Unique dish to try out.

Since i recently tried Pesto sauce, we decided to try out their one dish based on the same "Peruvian Pesto Paneer", Which turned out to be as awesome as my first pasta experiment with pesto sauce.

As one of my non-vegetarian friend is fan of mushroom only in veg, We also had "Fungi Repieni", Mushroom stuffed with cheese and jalapeño as far as i can tell was delicious and again the dip provided with it was awesome.

As it being a classy restaurant, You can say quantity is bit of a lesser. But the taste of the food makes up for it. If you are looking for a larger quantity must try their "Cuban Nachos", Crispy tortillas with green gravy served with tomato flavoured dip was amazing. Also had "Crispy sriracha Mini Spring Roll" probably 8 pieces of delicious spring rolls stuffed with assorted veggies. Chilli sauce dip was yummy served with this.

Moving on to the main course(I am always full by the time we reach this part), We tried "Veg Paprika" which has a portion of Mashed Potato and bell pepper rice and some veggies to go with. Not fan of a rice but loved the mashed potato. Probably the potatoes were kind of sweet, gelled well with the rice and veggies. Also tried "Vegetable Cannelloni" which was a rolled pasta with my favourite side dish(Garlic bread :) ).

We tried quite a few mock-tails out of which "Modern Kala Khatta" is a must must try. Not writing anything about it (Just have it). If you are into coconut flavoured one's do try "Strawberry Colada". Other which we tried was "Blackberry Caprioshka", But for me Kala Khatta one steal the show.

Then came the difficult part(Time to leave :( ), Since we couldn't decide we were suggested to try "Chocolate Biscuit & Nut cake" which is kind of biscotti mixed with lot of chocolate and dry fruits. Very good in taste and crunchy.

Enjoyed our visit to this place, Very suggestive staff. Few amazing dishes were suggested by them. Definitely a must visit if you are around this area. Only missing thing for me is a cocktails(Because cocktails and their yummy starters can make any day delightful).
