Pizza Hut | The Walk, Thane West, Mumbai — Restaurant in Thane

On a Sunday evening in December 2019 we experienced an underwhelming time at this first floor restaurant of the Walk. Though they were more than half empty, the staff had a struggle handling orders and serving customers.

There was only one person taking orders although there was place for three. The slowness in taking orders continued in everything else we exepeienced. We kept waiting for our order which never came for nearly 30 minutes. After being asked for twice one starter came, then another followed by flat Pepsi. The Pizza came finally not too hot and left at our table without any words by the waiter. The whole experience created a poor impression about Pizza Hut the first MNC chain to start selling Pizzas in India. And they still seem to be learning the basics two plus decades later.

Pizza Hut has gone from bad to worse at Mumbai and their outlet at the Walk is only reflective of their deterioration. They switched to self service but even that has not helped as customers are left waiting and have to follow up to get their orders. The menu card was torn and in bad shape but still in use. The hand wash area was dirty. Staff seemed demotivated and going through their motions. The manager whom I spoke to twice seemed overwhelmed and unable to control the situation. It seems Pizza Hut is headed to oblivion in India. Cheaper and more expensive competitors have left it far behind. And tweaking the menu and Indianising the menu will only take it so far. As we all know this is famous Pizzahut chain Restaurant which offers variety of Pizza & Pasta, this one is located in the premises of "The Walk" which is open air shopping complex in the Hiranandani Estate which is 2-3 KMS from ghodbunder road & 10 -15 KMS from Thane railway station. Restaurant offers table service and home delivery options. Strangely Credit cards are not accepted here, You can pay either by cash or paytm

My Experience :

Ambience - Good lighting , clean & cool ambience Food Quality 😆 - Pizza Was served hot and was delicious. Service - There was no wait time at the time of order 😃 To my surprise service was very Poor 😢, noone bothered to keep clean plates on the table. There were no tissues / forks / water glasses. Few Occupancy were in the restaurant even on Saturday night. Home Delivery 😪 - Please please ensure that pizzahut outlet you had called actually delivers to your mentioned delivery location before making any payment else your money is stuck 😒. Since Refund process is very slow and needs multiple reminders & follow-ipd . It's very frustrating that unless you do regular follow ups nothing will happen... It's sad though...For my Order cancelled by Pizzahut on 20Jan2019 I have not yet received my refund 15March. Still following up with...

Recently, my friends and I visited the Pizza Hut at The Walk in Hiranandani, Thane. We opted for the 1011 Combo, which included two medium pan pizzas (NV American Cheesy and Murg Malai Chicken), garlic bread, loaded breadsticks, and four types of cold drinks. The loaded breadsticks, with cheese inside, were particularly delightful. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, with neat and tidy tables and chairs. However, the centralized AC was not very effective, possibly due to being turned off when we arrived. This is an area that could benefit from attention. The interior of the Pizza Hut was impressive. We were warmly greeted by staff member Pushpa, who assisted us with our order selection. She was very polite and welcoming, even providing a complimentary garlic dip upon our request. The soft background music added to the pleasant ambiance. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and look forward to visiting again. The combination of good food, excellent service, and a comfortable environment made our visit enjoyable.
