Hello fam, May it be a yaaron ke sath tapri vali chai ya fir bearish mein garma garam pakode ke sath Kadak chai. For us Indians, Chai has been always been an emotion and not any beverage. From being national treatment of sardard till bringing all of us together, chai has always been an Unknown partner of ours. Chaayos brings back all these things under one roof . A contemporary interpretation of chai Adda. Where freshly served is a feeling than any multinational coffee brand. Where people could connect and enjoy “meri vali chai” Reviewing chaayos was never in the list but I am glad I had the chance to experience this outlet of chaayos which is located in Thane, Mumbai . Well, they have 57 more outlets all over India. Speaking about the ambience. Chaayos has beautiful, Colorful & vibrant interior which makes it more lively. As we enter there are all chai related quotes written on the wall & trust me these quotes actually put a smile on the face because it’s relatable to every chai lover. They have all these colorful seating areas. I was just a happy kid exploring every inch and corner of this place. The hanging chai ketley’s with glowing light inside it gives a special touch to the decor, it’s super cute and fancy. The cosy corners are seamless to spend time with your loved ones. Settling down, we were warmly welcomed by the staff. And trust me I am person who is impressed by such small welcoming gestures, it’s always the way of showing that your presence is valued and appreciated. The staff was so quick and precise about the service and menu. My extra points are all for them . Going ahead with food . First on table Kulhad pav bhaji: after having this, It had one word from me “WWWOOOWWW” . Chilli cheese toast : brown bread well topped with cheese & chilli flavours. Shahi chai : The Royal chai ; Highly recommended for people who loves a bit of thick, creamy chai . Egg bun: finished in a minute or two. Loaded Paratha: Delectable gravy on thin paratha with oddles and cheese. Kulhad chai : special saffron masala chai served in traditional of kulhad. Read moreWe usually come across a lot of cafe joints for a country primarily which is a tea consuming nation. This hunt got us to try out CHAAYOS. A Tea Cafe or better know as the Chai specialist where you are served fresh brewed Tea.
Chaayos @The Walk @Hiranamdani Estate Thane is a mix of Residential and High Street area with ample amount of sidewalk and activities for kids of different age groups.
At Chaayos, the interiors were simple yet very trendy and colorful, high ceiling depicting a garage theme. The menu is simple and limited with options around SANDWICH, STUFFER KULCHAS, PARATA STUFFING, NASTA items like VADA PAV, OMELETTE, Kids Special and Shakes. The core focus is the Hot beverages (tea), Iced Tea and Thandi Chai.
❗❗THE HIGHLIGHT OF CHAAYOS is that it stays true to its name and the menu offering. ❗❗ We had tried the following: ▶1.Gur Wali Chai - Rated 5/5 ▶2.Kulhad Chai - Rated 5/5 ▶3.Sulemani Nimbu Chai - Rated 5/5 ▶4.Cinnamon Thandi Chai - Rated 5/5 ▶5.Bun Omelet - Rated 5/5 ▶6.Bun Maska - Rated 5/5 ▶7.Chicken Open Paratha - Rated 5/5
The first two options were served in an earthen clay mug. Both the tea served distinct flavors and different color and aroma. Served hot and fresh. Good quantity and similar to your ceramic large coffee mug at home.
Sulemani Chai was perfectly served in a tiny clear glass. Served hot with a golden brown color. As classic as it could get.
The Cinnamon Thanks Chai was the surprise winner. Did not expect it to be this good. But wow...!! Frothy layer, with the cold Chai and the density very runny and smooth. The froth was topped with cinnamon powder complimenting it with some great cinnamon aroma.
Bun Omelette and Bun Maska - simple preparation with no fuss. Served as it sounds with a little love. Serving portion is tiny but priced moderately well. Heavy eaters will need a larger bite.
The Chk Open Paratha was lovely. Chunky chicken pieces served with some sauce and mayo on a lovely paratha base.
All and all a great vibe, simple straight forward menu, great tea, good service and can be your everyday hangout joint without thinking much. Great job...
Read moreWhen it comes to cafes, chaayos remains amongst our first choices for any kind of meet. With every season, comes a new menu which adds on to the speciality of the place. This monsoon, it is about parathas and street style delicacies which add a zing to the monsoon that comes along. We started off with the bun maska which is a signature delight in its own and sets a tone for the rest of the meal. Next one was another speciality, the napoli sandwich. It is one of their best sellers and has a soft delicious touch of juicy mushroom balanced extremely well between the crusts. The shahi chai was true to its name with its touch of aroma and taste of cinnamon, spices and more. It has a warm feel and a perfect company to the monsoon. We even grabbed a bite of their palak patta crispies. Spicy, sweet with a hint of crunch and taste of jalapenos with the touch of that street-side flavor makes it a unique fusion altogether. The paneer loaded open paratha was king of the meal. It is their monsoon speciality which has a hint of spice to the base of paratha with soft pieces of paneer embellished on top of it like that of a pizza. We even tried the honey ginger lemon tea along with this one. This one is soothing and delicious. It fills you with energy for sure. The spice of ginger with the sweetness of honey and tangy touch of lemon is wholesome in itself. The chocolate shake was thick and filling. It had a smooth texture and delicious flavour. The essence of chocolate was apt and it was proper in its own. The only problem was with the kulhad vali jalebi. The crunch of jalebi was prominent in its bits and pieces. However, the sweetness in the same was amiss. It tasted bland and could have been much better. All in all, this place is a treat and its specials definitely make it worth the visit.
