Thane Canteen — Restaurant in Thane

Yesterday I visited this place called THANE CANTEEN situated in Thane nearby Upwan Lake. Basically known for their north indian & chinese cuisines. It has lovely ambience, gives you a vintage vibes..!💯💯 So after enjoying their vintage ambience and clicking some pictures of it we ordered some dishes from their menu.

STARTERS

• Chilly Garlic Potato Fries been tossed in garlic,chillies,capsicum, and many other sauces.It was so flavourful and has a proper blend of garlic & chillies in it. (Personal favourite)

-Veg Spring Rolls I have never had such delicious spring rolls till now. Assorted veggies tossed is sauces and has amazing crispy sheet of spring roll comes up with schezwan chutney dip. It is a must try💯💯

MAIN COURSE

-Veg Schezwan Noodles Veg noodles consisted of carrots,springonions,onions,capsicum, and tossed is varities of sauces.

• Veg Hyderabadi Biryani A proper authentic biryani one could ever have. The first bite of it can give you the taste and perfect taste of spices and veggies used in it. Fantastic taste..👍🏻

JUICES

• Pineapple Juice It was normal pineapple juice served in a glass bottle.

• Kokam Juice It was very refreshing and you can have that kokam taste in every sip. Must try💯

DESSERTS Was a bit disappointed by their dessert menu as they have only 2 things, first is gulab jamun & other is ice cream. And in icecream also they have cornetto & small sundae So we ordered cornetto for us.

All together my experience was good over here. The staff here is very hardworking & humble.

So yesterday i decided to take my mom out for the lunch.. So I came across this place which is located at Thane Upwan.. Easily Accessible.. it's on the main road itself.. coming to the ambience.. they have 3 sections.. Non AC Ac Normal section Ac family section.. . When it comes to Family section.. I really loved the colorful walls over there.. they have painted 1 whole wall with the 90's cartoon.. being a 90's kid I really loved that wall.. . Coming to food they really have vast menu.. From Chinese to North indian.. so we finally decided to order . In starters we order for - *Paneer Hot Pan (Hunan Dry) :- Definitely must try.. This is a Chinese starter.. paneer cubes served in the crispy masala gives really delicious taste.. . *Gujrati Malai Roll :- Roll with malai inside and the roll was perfectly fried till it becomes crispy.. definitely one of my favorite thing which i had.. . Coming to main course - *Paneer Chatpata :- A sabzi of paneer with red gravy bit spicy and sweet.. perfect in taste.. *Veg Diwani handi :- Veg Diwani is made of different vegetables from capsicum, baby corn, cauliflower and all other sorts of vegetables.. bit spicy but still tasted good.. With Butter Roti.. . For drinks we had *Pineaplle Juice :- Kinda bit sweet not that good but still good.. *Lime & Honey :- Really refreshing never tried this combo before.. . Coming to other factors.. *Service was quick and great.. *Place is really very well maintained.. *Jeevan our atandee looked after us very well.. *Pocket friendly...

So few days back we visited a newly opened outlet "Thane Canteen" . The place is really near upwan lake . Talking about the ambience it's really great, vibes are great , cozy Ambience. Lighting and all is perfect. Staff is also great ,they are helpful and kind . Food is good and is available at a reasonable rate .

So here's what we had ?

🔶Chicken Tawa Fry :- This was really good , Chicken was soft , juicy and tender. It was quite spicy and was good . Quantity was also good .

🔷Chicken Lollipop:- 8 pieces of lollipop are really more than enough for 2 people. We were almost full before main course , the red chutney was also amazing.

🔶Pineapple and lemon juice with honey :- Both the juices were really refreshing. Really cold and perfect.

🔷Mutton Hyderabadi:- We never had mutton hyderbadi so we thought of trying it out . As it came we didn't expected it to be green . So we tried it and to our surprise it was really amazing, the spinach and basil was frsh which made Mutton taste amazing.

🔶Gulab Jamun :- Piping hot gulab jamun are perfect way to end the meal .
