We were travelling from Chennai, and we skipped our breakfast along with a friend of mine after few coffee bites in the morning,
We took our lunch break at Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurent, Trichy. ordered so many items,
Egg Burji Egg Kalaki Chicken Black Pepper Fry Egg Biryani Chicken Biryani
It all started with a statement, it may take another 15 Minutes to prepare. Oh come on, am from a hotelier fam , I can understand. We put it in a diff way.
As we are not taken our Break fast, we are so hungry, Can you suggest some item that can be brought so quick.
They said eg items can be brought in another 10 Mins.
forget to mention we are the only customers inside the restaurant,
after a 15 mins of time, we got curious that it took enuf time. we asked where is the order, they said the kadai is just getting hotter, it will take time.
Egg Burji came in the plate as 1/3 of the plate was empty. added the image. ( was coated with added oil). Egg kalaki came was Okayish, it was like cooked egg in oven. (was okayish )
then comes the main course with starters, not even expecting the level of output.
They said the Egg Biryani is from Veg biryani only we are adding the Egg. Cbe ,Che, Tiru outlets were so good and better.
Chicken inside the biryani was not cooked, Black pepper chicken should be renamed as SOY sauce coated chicken, black pepper was actually missing.
then we brought it to the attenders about the same, answer is like its from central kitchen sir. Please refer to the Image. no words uttered left the plates with whatever we bought and left the place. No answers or replacement we gonna get it .
Added image to the reference. brands are builts for ages. we trust the brands, But in this scenario, I would like to recomend people not to take any risk as spending a lot for the food under the brand.
Please refer to the locals and take somme good food, as it may not spoil your good foood mood.
No responsible answers, all were Samalfications only.
I cant even understand whether these things may brought to the management for the betterment, I wont be gng again for the same outlet.
We came out from the restaurant. There are few better things that may happened for the brand at Coimbatore, Tirupur, Chennai and Dindigul outputs.
Trichy outlet shouldn't be visited, Kindly take a reference from the google reviews or local reviews as we already did the mistake of spending a lot for the food we order but not taken. I am from a hotelier fam and I can understand the pain...
Read moreMe and my family decided to go to this restaurant after it was recommended by one of our relatives, and we went there with high expectations. We ordered one chicken lollipop, a chicken 65, a nethili(anchovy fish) fry, a moru moru prawns(shrimp), a schezwan chicken fried rice, a mutton biriyani, and finally, two beverages to end with the meal. As shown above, we got 4 starters and 2 entrees. All the starters seemed to be good, they tasted good. Even the fried rice was good, I mean, fried rice is amazing at every restaurant right? But when we take a good close look at the so-called “mutton biriyani”, it made all of us angry. Firstly, there were probably only three pieces of “mutton” in the biriyani itself, but that’s not even the worst part. The mutton pieces were 100% just bones! That was completely absurd! Secondly, the taste of the biriyani was absent, we were expecting amazing biriyani with aromatic flavors. And we drove a long way for this terrible biriyani? Absolutely ridiculous. That wasn’t even it, the service was bad. We had to endlessly ask for 1 freaking kurma, and they took around 30 minutes to get one. The drinks were delish, but they assume we drink beverages without ice? They were both room temperature, which was absolutely saddening. I’m just coming to say that I don’t pay for mediocrity, I pay and tip...
Read moreA Memorable Dining Experience at Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and the aroma of authentic South Indian spices set the tone for a satisfying meal.
What made the experience even more special was the humble and courteous service of the waiter named Selva. He greeted us with a genuine smile and was extremely attentive throughout our visit. Selva patiently guided us through the menu, suggesting their signature dishes and ensuring we were comfortable at all times.
We tried the famous Dindigul biryani, which lived up to its reputation — rich in flavor, perfectly cooked, and served hot. Every dish, from the mutton gravy to the parotta, was delicious and authentically prepared.
Selva’s behavior stood out — polite, respectful, and always ready to help without being intrusive. He checked on us just enough to make sure we were satisfied and even offered suggestions based on our preferences.
Overall, the combination of flavorful food and Selva’s excellent service made it a truly enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to experience traditional South Indian cuisine served with genuine...
