Drunken Duck Resto Bar — Restaurant in Tiruporur

For a place with so much potential, it is a shame it is in the hands of indifferent, under trained waitstaff, quasi managers and a chef who likes to unload a kilo of salt into each dish. The decor had a lot of promise, until the food arrived clumsily put onto our tables on cutlery that makes those at a Tasmac like bar shine! The seating isn't comfortable and like most places in the back of the beyond attracts patrons with lets just say with no regard for ambient courtesy. Worst of all the staff don't honor advertised promotions... sans which the substandard fare and service dont even add up to the adage - you get what you pay for. You certainly don't!

We ordered Fresh Juice (Sweet Lime and Orange) Baby Corn Fry, Lamb and Prawns. Waited for almost one hour, went to check with the waiter and he brought Watermelon juice and Baby Corn fry. Sent back the juice, took another 10 minutes to get lamb and Sweet lime and another 10 minutes for Orange juice and prawns. Baby Corn was kinda good but rest of the items were pathetic! Five star prices for garbage food. And half liter water bottle costs 20 rupees and he charged us for the unopened bottles as well. Said he can’t cancel it and we demanded to speak with the manager and he instantly reduced the bill amount. Ambience was just good nothing much...

Below average bar. There is just 1 waiter serving all the tables. We ordered Prawns, and we were very few pieces of tiny prawns, rest all plate filled with masala. Food items and drinks which are not available, kindly remove them all from menu. Once people decide what to take and you say it's not available, the 1st impression goes wrong. One + point, the bar was quiet, so we could talk easily. You have very good space, you can do it much better. You have a good ambience outside as well make...
