Hotel Sri Krishna Bhavan filled a bug vacuum which was there. Seating space: A decent seating space instead of roadside motel. There are two sections non-A/c section providing you option to take cheaper tax pricing. A cosy first floor A/c section where you can take family comfortably. Parking space: Enough parking space, though for newbie driver it can be difficult to squeeze in when crowded but then you have a friendly guard at help who with his whistle is patient enough to allow you time. Food: Nice standard vegetarian food. We tried south Indian and north Indian food. All were reasonably good. We generally get an idea of stuff from quality of chutneys in case of South Indian food, those are fresh and varied. For north Indian, it's gravy of curries and they did not upset our stomach next day so good enough. Service: pretty quick. Mostly we end up at lean hours so no stress tested. Though one day we were not very happy when we have take away food order and he said please sit in car, will bring as soon as ready but he never came and we checked, it was ready and getting cold. But will excuse that one occasion as an exception. Always found them very polite and caring otherwise.
So not fancy like high end but good enough and one of the best choice in that area for standalone restaurant.
Though there many small restaurant in Padur and Kelambakkam however main...
Read moreI visited Sri Krishna Veg Restaurant in Kelampakkam on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant was quite crowded, so we opted for the AC dining area. I ordered the Veg Meals and Mushroom Biryani.
The Veg Meals came with chapathi and a small portion of vegetable biryani, but I was quite disappointed with both the taste and the pricing. The meals were priced at around ₹250, but the quality didn’t justify the cost. I've had much better experiences at other well-known vegetarian restaurants like A2B and Sangeetha, so I was expecting more from this place.
Service was also lacking; we had to ask multiple times for items like rice and poriyal. To make matters worse, we only found out about their podi (spice mix) at the last minute, so we couldn’t try it.
While the place is decent for a quick meal, the overall experience didn’t meet expectations, especially when compared to similar restaurants in the area. Would not recommend unless...
Read moreThe dining experience I had recently was a delightful journey of flavors and textures, masterfully presented in a cozy, inviting ambiance. The dish, a harmonious blend of savory and subtly sweet, was a testament to the chef's creativity and understanding of balance. Each component was cooked to perfection, offering a contrast in textures that was both surprising and pleasing. The sauce was a revelation, rich yet not overpowering, allowing the natural flavors to shine through. The portion was generous, promising a satisfying experience without tipping into excess. Visually, the plate was a canvas of vibrant colors and thoughtful composition, making each bite not only a taste adventure but a feast for the eyes. The attentive service and warm atmosphere only enhanced the meal, creating an experience that was memorable for all the right reasons. It was a reminder of how a well-crafted dish can elevate dining to...
