On the 8th of October 24, five of us went there for dinner. The first thing I noticed was that they had significantly increased their prices under the guise of a “Puja Special” menu. For instance, we ordered butter, which cost us ₹99, shahi paneer at ₹479, and butter chicken at ₹539.

When it comes to the taste, it was not worth the prices we paid. This may have been due to the overcrowding during Puja, but when you’re paying that much, you expect the food to justify the cost.

I have dined here on normal days when the food tastes good and the prices are reasonable. However, the chicken we ordered this time was not properly cleaned—it had blood inside. I complained, and they offered to replace it with a new chicken dish. I requested a replacement with paneer instead, but they refused. When the bill came, I was shocked to see they had added a 10% service charge on top of the total bill, along with separate GST charges. They also charged ₹60 for a 1-liter water bottle, where ₹20 is mentioned on the label. (I wouldn’t mind paying even ₹100 for water if the price was clearly mentioned on the bottle) When I asked, the staff explained that they were applying a 10% service charge due to Puja. Despite the bad chicken dish, they didn’t deduct a single penny for it.

It feels like they’re taking advantage of customers in the name of Durga Puja. At the very least, they should provide value for the money we...

Aquilaria – A Hidden Gem in Agartala! I recently visited Aquilaria, and I’m genuinely impressed! This place is a perfect blend of aesthetic charm and cozy comfort. The ambience is stunning — soft lights, thoughtfully designed interiors, and cute little corners that are perfect for chilling, taking pictures, or just enjoying a peaceful meal. It’s super Instagram-worthy yet feels warm and inviting. The seating arrangements are spacious and comfortable, with a good balance between privacy and vibe — ideal whether you're with friends, on a date, or just grabbing a solo bite. The food was absolutely delicious, and what I loved most is that everything was reasonably priced without compromising on taste or portion size. From starters to dessert, every dish was well-prepared and presented with care. Plus, the service was quick, polite, and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. If you're in Agartala and looking for a spot to hang out, eat well, and enjoy a beautiful setting — Aquarelia is a must-visit. Whether for casual lunch, a coffee catch-up, or a quiet evening out, this place ticks all the boxes. Highly recommended! 💯✨

Place - Visited the restaurant during Sunday lunch time and it was well crowded. The place was cozy, well maintained and in order as you would expect in a premium place. But one thing I felt is that despite being a premium space, the place is quite small and there is not enough spacing between the tables so if you are planning to visit to have a little bit quiter and private time then this is not for you. Food - Now coming to the food, in the beverage it was well made for what we ordered no complaints there. Starter - starter was very well cooked with the chicken being tender and you get the feel of the ingredients as soon as you take a bite. The main course was also tasty, decent biryani but the gravy was the most delicious. Clay pot cooked murgh was what we ordered and it did not disappoint. Dessert - Chocolate brownie with fudge again great taste, enjoyed it. Portion and value for money - If you want authentic taste and well cooked food then definitely do visit this place. But except that price wise the portion is only okay and the place is almost jam packed. Otherwise must visit even if ocassionally.
