Exceptional Iftar Experience at Alborz – A Must-Visit

I recently visited Alborz (Aliganj, Lucknow) with my colleagues for an Iftar party, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had! From the moment I called to inform them about our Iftar plans, their warmth and hospitality shone through, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening.

The staff went above and beyond by preparing special fast-breaking plates for us, which they offered complimentary as a gesture of kindness—a thoughtful touch that truly made us feel welcomed and valued during this special time. The level of hospitality here is unparalleled; every member of the team was attentive, polite, and genuinely invested in ensuring we had a wonderful experience.

The food was an absolute delight! We indulged in a variety of dishes, each bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. We ordered the Wazwan Trami Platter, which was a perfect blend of traditional Kashmiri flavors, the Chicken Platter and Paneer Lahori Tikka, both of which were succulent and perfectly spiced. The Tandoori Roti was fresh and paired wonderfully with the dishes. We also tried the Kunafa, a delightful dessert that was the perfect sweet ending to our meal.

Beyond the food, what truly stood out was the cleanliness of the restaurant. The entire space was spotless, from the dining area to the restrooms, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Another highlight was the thoughtful arrangement of special prayer corners they had set up for after Iftar. This allowed us to comfortably perform our prayers without any hassle, a detail that meant so much to us during Ramadan.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff’s dedication to making our Iftar party memorable was evident in every little detail. From the complimentary fast-breaking plates to the seamless service, Alborz truly knows how to make their guests feel special.

I've sampled Kashmiri Wazwan in numerous places outside Kashmir, but Alborz Lucknow undoubtedly stands out as the finest. The authenticity of the wazwan is unmatched, complemented beautifully by the restaurant's exquisite interiors. The decor, featuring Kashmiri cutlery and mehfil-style seating, truly encapsulates the essence of Kashmir. The "trami" intended for four, easily satisfied 5-6 of us, generously laden with all the signature dishes including tabak maaz, methi maaz, Waza chicken, and seekh kabab, all elegantly presented on the trami. This was followed by a delightful array of gravy dishes such as rista, roghan josh, and gushtaba, each served in traditional "toor" (Kashmiri copper bowl). We also ventured to try the Mirchi korma, which was impeccably seasoned. Our vegetarian companions were equally pleased with the Kashmiri tChaman (paneer) and an assortment of veg starters and main courses. “Kehwa” was served as a welcome beverage, which felt truly welcoming.
