I have given it four stars for the simple reason that this is the only decent eating place around Krishna Nagar metro station to have dinner with family.
I have been to Aryans a few times earlier too and have enjoyed the food. My preference and personal like goes to their branch in Prayagraj (Allahabad).
This time I visited this restaurant and ordered a mix of food like their Chinese combo and Indian food. We had fried rice, chicken Manchurian besides Chicken Dum Biryani.
The fried rice was served in a medium-sized bowl alongwith chicken Manchurian. I also liked another combo which had noodles and an option of soup or cold drink. I declined this combo because there was no fried rice and they were not willing to replace noodles with rice. Anyway, the rice they served was sufficient for one person if he is hungry. Chicken Manchurian tasted well but came in a small bowl containing lots of thick gravy and less number of boneless chicken. I think we could barely find four tiny pieces which were not sumptuous. Neither the tummy felt full nor did the taste buds.
Chicken Dum Biryani was very aromatic when it reached our table in a small earthen pot. It was nicely presented and I appreciate it. There were three pieces of chicken, minus boiled egg, but the quantity of rice was less. I enjoy caramelized onions in biryani but this too was very less. Chicken biryani was served with some onions dipped in vinegar and a small bowl of thick curd. You may call it raita instead as the curd was not plain.
My family shared the biryani but I think we could go for one more if we were very hungry. Practically we expected sufficient biryani for two people, but this was not the case.
Overall, a good experience. Of course, quantity is an issue. To be honest, most restaurants these days have a justification for higher prices but they are shy of giving a good quantity. For two dishes, one small Chinese combo and a biryani we spent an amount exceeding a thousand bucks. Restaurant manager is around, strolling the area but hesitant to interact with the guests or trying to get a feedback from them. It hurts when they want to tick ✓ for the manager when you are given a feedback form.
